government contractor for allegedly leaking a top secret nsa document on russian hacking. the charges came barely an hour after the intercept published the document. it raises the possibility that russian hacking may have breached parts of the u.s. voting system. however t document does not say the hacking changed any votes. tracie potts is in washington, d.c. and good morning. what's the latest on this leak and the russian investigation? >> reporter: what is interesting is it's recent, this report, this allegedly leaked report from the nsa just from last month and it details phishing attempts and a cyber attack on an election software vendor according to that report. bottom line, it's a lot more detail than we previously knew about, just how far russia may have gone to hack this election. while you were at the polls last november russia wasn't just trying to influence your choice with fake .

which left seven dead and 48 wounded. police have identified two of the three deceased suspects and new reports suggest there may have been warning signs about one of the attackers. lucy is in london. what can you tell us about the latest on these suspects? >> reporter: frances, warning signs certainly one way of putting it. it became clear that one of the attackers not only was he known to the authorities but he was featured in a television documentary about islamistic extremism here in the uk, his name is khuram butt, 27, born in the uk, born in pakistan but a british citizen, he was known both to the police and the domestic intelligence agency mi-5 and part of a group called aljarom on the fringes of british society which favored a caliphate. he was reportedly reported to the
