bethesda looking good as you're headed in, but as you are headed out you are a little bit slow. angie? >> 5:01. breaking news at the live desk this morning. >> molette green is here with what we know about an apparent double murder. >> reporter: this happening montgomery village. inside a vehicle there. here's what we know so far. a resident reported hearing gunshots just before 11:00 last night in the 8200 block of gallery court. police found two people inside a vehicle and they died of gunshot wounds. justin finch arrived and he's going to have the news in a few minutes. >> we continue to learn more details this morning as you take a look at the crime scene here. more about the deadly shooting that happened in langley park. prince george's county police have identified the victim as 22-year-old carlos sanchez carrera. he was shot friday night on 14th avenue. this is about one blo

now there's a $25,000 reward for information that will lead to a suspect. time right now is 5:03. d.c. police hope you can help them solve a deadly shooting in northwest. what we want you to take a look at here is surveillance video that we're going to show you. it shows the shooting that killed algernon harvey and injured seven others on memorial day weekend. they released this video last night. the group may have been gambling when all of the shooting started. everyone scattering and people taking cover underneath cars. neighbors had strong words for the people behind the violence. >> they are kind of acting out and, you know, like caged animals. they have nowhere else to go, nothing else to do and so they resort to this violence over increasingly petty beeves and vendettas. d.c. police have put up a temporary surveillance camera since that shooting. >>

there is another search for suspects connected to that terror attack in downtown london. police are in a neighborhood, this neighborhood near where the attackers live. so far they've identified two of the three people who drove that van into a crowd and stabbed dozens in london on saturday night. neighbors say they reported one of them to police multiple times. all three attackers were shot to death. since saturday police arrested a dozen people but they say they have released them all. let's get back to the live desk. molette green with what you need to know about a top secret document that was leaked. >> reporter: we're learning about how the feds are building their case against a 25-year-old nsa contractor. she reportedly has confessed to printing out that top secret document and mailing it to an online publication. nbc news confirming that reality lee winter is the accused leaker. we're hearing there is evidence that she had

convicted of a school bathroom brawl in delaware have received their sentences. the brawl led to the death of amy joyner frances. one received two years and will have two years of community supervision. the other got 18 months of community supervision. the pain still pretty raw for families who lost someone in the ghost ship warehouse fire in oakland. now they're facing charges in their deaths. yesterday derrick almena and matt harris were charged with involuntary manslaughter. 36 people died at a dance party there in december. court documents say they knowingly created a fire trap without a way to escape that building. we do have more details on the apparent case of workplace violence in orlando florida that left five people dead. john newman jr., a recently fired w

>> 5:33. a crash on the suitland parkway has been cleared and traffic back open and it's normal this morning. things are reopened. last night two cars crashed when a vehicle crossed over the median. it happened between naylor road and branch avenue. police have released all 12 people they arrested in connection with this weekend's attack in london. they identified two of the three attackers from that night. neighbors say they reported one of the men multiple times. a 25-year-old government contractor charged with leaking top information. it came an hour after an article was published on russian hacking. a federal official tells nbc news the contractor leaked that document. news 4's tracie potts will have more details coming up. if you're planning to vote absentee at next week's primaries in virginia, you have until 5:00 today to have an absentee ballot mailed to you.

shutdowns due to starts july 1st and last until the end of next june. not completely out of the woods, but they say they need a steady flow of revenue for maintenance so that light at the end of the trouble doesn't turn out to be a train coming the other way. meanwhile, metro plans to make security changes after the agency put hard drives up for public auction. the problem, personal and business information was still on those hard drives. thousands of files could have been compromised when computers used by metro are auctioned or thrown away, all the files are supposed to be erased. that didn't happen with two computers. we are getting more details on the government contractor charged with leaking top secret information. she was charged not long after an online news organization published a top secretor

describing new details about russia's efforts to hack our voting system. >> news 4's tracie potts is live. was the contractor the source of the leak and did it affect vote tally? >> reporter: this contractor out of georgia was the source of the information published online. that information, by the way, shows that russia was trying to hack our elections systems, our software, and sending out phishing e-mails to hundreds of election officials all over the country. did it have an impact? that's not clear in the report but there's no proof that it did. president trump not using executive privilege to block james comey. we heard that's what he was going to do. now it's official. how important is that when we talk about that and what could that tell you about their strategy? >> reporter: james comey now has a blank slate to say essentially what he wants as long as
