acts of hate and racism. the rallying cry in a d.c. church tonight. she lost both legs and both hands but she is not letting this stop her. hear one woman's story of incredible courage. >> news 4 at 11 starts now. >> still no answers tonight for the families of those two teenagers killed while sitting in a car. >> they were supposed to walk across a graduation stage. tonight their families tell us they were close friends, good students and planning to go to college in the fall. >> news 4's shomari stone is at the mosque the families attend in german town. >> good evening. tonight his father was supposed to come to this mosque. the islamic society in german town. instead he is at a hospital with his wife devastated over what happened.

life. >> reporter: he and his friend, another star northwest high school student murdered inside his honda civic about five miles from their neighborhood last night. this man's video camera captured the sound of the gun fire and the car that he says drove away. >> did your son have any enemies? >> no. not to my knowledge. >> reporter: montgomery county police investigate his father has a message for the killer. >> why? why did you kill my son? what do you have to gain? your anger. you are going to be caught. >> reporter: those are powerful words. montgomery county police are offering a reward of $10,000 that leads to an arrest in this case. we reached out

morning. one story says the fbi director didn't want to be left alone with president trump. a day after the private conversation comey asked the attorney general to protect fbi from white house influence and said he didn't want to be alone in a room with the president. the washington post goes a step further saying the director of national intelligence told people that president trump asked him to intervene to get the fbi to back off the investigation into russia. the post reports that decided it would be inappropriate to do as he asked. coats testifies tomorrow morning before the senate intelligence committee and then comey on the next day. what the president was asked about the former fbi director's testimony he simply said i wish him luck. i'm chris lawrence. >> and our scott macfarlane got a rare look inside the hearing room where james comey will

there is space for hundreds of spectators, reporters and cameras to see more open up our nbc washington app and search comey. developing tonight france could extend its state of emergency and consider new security measures after the latest in a wave of terror attacks. police say a man tried to attack officers with a hammer while screaming this is for syria. officers shot him near the notre dame cathedral. france has been under a state of emergency since the attack in 2015 that killed 130 people. that is set to expire in july. the government wants to extend it until jvnovember. the third person behind the terror attack at the london bridge was arrested last year trying to get into syria. he was stopped at an airport in italy and said he wanted to be a terrorist but quickly corrected himself. he still managed to get into the

assault. andrea constand testified that the comedian drugged and assaulted heifer. cosby's lawyer said there are key differences in her testimony today and the story she gave police in 2005. including how many times she talked to and saw cosby after the alleged assault. and why it took her more than a year to report the incident to police. dozens of women have accused cosby of unwanted sexual contact. he has denied all charges. to a story of a local woman who had lost more than any of us can begin to imagine. instead of letting it keep her down she says what she has gone through and the challenges she faces now have made her more determined than ever to heal so that she can give back. >> putting on hands in the morning different than putting on legs in the morning. if i hold them up then that is another

the thumb i have to manually move. >> reporter: sharon has lost both her hands, both her legs and part of her tongue. that hasn't dampened her extraordinary attitude and hope for recovery. >> i just had to keep going. i couldn't just curl up in a corner. >> reporter: last year sharon's husband worried she overslept and went to wake her and found her barely conscious, legs, hands and lips blue. >> when i tried to turn over the first time my feet were too heavy to turn. and then i went to reach and my hands were black. >> reporter: she was suffering from severe septic shock syndrome and her organs were failing. to save her life doctors had to amputate her limbs. her doctors believe she was vulnerable because her immune system was compromised when she lost her spleen a few years

even though she was suddenly an amputee sharon vowed not to let it effect her negatively. >> i just needed to keep positive and keep moving forward so i didn't get depressed. >> reporter: this man makes prosthetic limbs. >> we made her legs and hands now. for the legs we had to make custom sauockets to fit and bui the prosthesis and teach her to use it. >> reporter: he used the 3 d printer to make the custom sockets for sharon's legs. >> the hands took a little longer because it had more healing to do. >> reporter: sharon has had to relearn the most basic tasks and says she feels phantom pain from time to time. >> sometimes i feel like i need to scratch my

it is a cool experience as temperatures in the ocean only in the 60s. cool air, trough of low pressure this has been the setup for most of the last month and a half. cool to the east, warm to the south. that is going to change big time. the heat will build all across the eastern part of the united states even into canada. we are talking 90s through the next few days. boston could be warmer as we move into next week. heat wave coming. hello to 90s and near record highs close to monday and tuesday. we have to get through tomorrow first. that means cloud cover moving in. clouds and showers for the morning rush. you may see rain when you step out the front door. rain continuing at least at times. it's not all day rain. we will see showers. this pushes back towards the blue ridge here. and just a few scattered showers here. the clouds really do try to remine. tomorrow cloudy and cool. a few showers possible going
