president-elect about salacious claims about trump and a so-called doccier. comey, also, assured trump he was not under investigation. quote, that was true, comey says. we did not have an open counter intelligence case on him. i offered that assurance. but it is the portion about michael flynn that is expected to lead to a lot of questions today. on february 14th, the day after flynn was forced to resign, comey quotes the president as saying, i hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting flynn go. he is a good guy. comey says, i did not say i would let this go, adding i had understood the president to be requesting that we drop any investigation of flynn. so a lot of interesting detail in this. it was after that conversation that comey asked attorney general jeff sessions to prevent any direct communications with the president. aaron, back to

homicide. this fire broke out back in january. they found an unconscious man inside the apartment. he was pronounced dead on the scene. the medical examiner just determined the cause of death to be smoke and soot inhalation as well as multiple blunt force injuries. there is a $25,000 reward that leads to an arrest in this case. 4:32 right now. two local families will not get to see their sons go off to college this fall. instead, they're hoping police can track down their killer. the cap and gown were on display at his graduation. he was found shot to death monday night. the day before their high school graduation. police say there were 23 shots in total from two guns. investigators are not saying whether the teens were set up, but his cousin thinks that is ib

he faces up to life in prison. start saving some extra money. we have one final weekend to enjoy free parking along the national mall. starting on monday the national park service will activate parking meters in popular areas. you can see the areas on the map on the screen. the only free parking will be on ohio drive in east potomac park. the parking meters are supposed to help drivers from hogging free parking spaces. the meters will cost $2 an hour. time has flown for the people who work at mgm national harbor. it's been six months since they opened the doors. the question is, how's it going? the casino tells us, business has been booming. before it opened some neighbors worried that it would cause extra traffic and crime. >> we haven't seen the traffic from the casino except at special events, which we can plan around

that shooter. we now know a light fixture is to blame for this town house fire in reston. fairfax county fire says a light malfunctioned and spashlged the fire here. the firefighter who fell through the floor should be okay. the homeowners weren't home, they are looking at $125,000 in damages. a bins big change coming to metro. by the end of the month metro will take all of its 1,000 and 4,000 series rail cars off the tracks. those rail cars are 40 years old. it might sound like fewer trains will be slower service but metro is replacing them with the new 7,000 series cars. the new trains are six times more reliable than the older train cars. today we're working for you in the community by taking part in the do more
