like that, you need to take a few precautions. here are a couple of tips. first of all, limit outdoor activity if you can. stay inside where there is air conditioning. also, stay hydrated. that's really, really important to make sure you have enough water. also, keep pets inside. last year in fairfax county, 22 cases of incidents with dogs. also if you have to exercise, either exercise early, like right now is perfect, or exercise late. now some people not too keen on the heat, but a little while i talked to a man who works outside and he said, you know what, he's ready for a little summer heat wave. >> it's about time. because we had like a mild winter, but it was cold. i'm out here for four hours enjoying the company and doing my job, meeting great people. and it's nice to have heat. i'd rather beho

state fraternity pledge was fatally hurt. timothy piazza died from traumatic brain injuries after he fell down the stairs after a night of heavy drinking. fraternity members waited 12 hours to get piazza help. today we'll find out if there is enough evidence to put those members on trial. and today marks 50 years since the supreme court struck down state bans on interracial marriage. the case known as loving versus virginia was brought by richard and mildred loving. they spent a year in jail for violating the ban on interracial marriage. the main question, did this violate the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment? the justices unanimously decided in favor of the lovings and ended all race base restrictions on marriages. the couple's story was made into a movie last fall. ♪ ♪
