11:03 am
we're going to scoop right through here without much of a delay at all. so actually now if you can leave really, really soon, you're in pretty good shape here. now, it is slowing down a little bit after we get over the toll or through the toll booth here but now we're starting to pick up a little bit so now is a good time to leave but if you wait several more hours until the middle of the day, then you're going to be in trouble here. here's the rule of thumb and we're approaching the bridge now, and you're going to be able to start seeing the beautiful chesapeake bay. you can see we have a lot of volume here, but so far, so good. things are moving. they are running two-way traffic, however, on that westbound span, so they've reversed one of the lanes on the westbound side so that's going to give an extra lane going eastbound so that's good news. that should take off some of the pressure here, but still, an awful lot of people are traveling this holiday weekend. you have record numbers of people, more than 1 million

11:05 am
you can't leave soon, the idea is to leave after 10:00 if you don't want to hit traffic. if you're leaving tomorrow, you're going to want to leave before 6:00 in the morning. if you can't do that, then leave after 8:00. that's if you want to avoid the brunt of the traffic. but a beautiful day out here on the chesapeake bay and of course many of the people crossing this bridge to the bay are going to ultimately wind up in the beaches of maryland and delaware and just a great weekend ahead. but you're going to want to plan accordingly because if you get stuck in that terrible traffic, it can make for a very unpleasant trip here. if we can come back to my camera two here, you can see lots of resources that you can use. they are online. if you go to baybridge.com, this is a live picture of some of the traffic cameras so you can check different spots and see realtime information about how the traffic's moving. back to you guys. >> thanks. with all that open road ahead of you, i got to figure you're not
