figure out here? >> reporter: there are a lot of factors that go into this. first of all, a car is pretty much a movable crime scene so they have to determine how it all transpired late last night. it was five minutes before midnight when police came upon a car near the ramp, and at first it seemed to be a stalled car but officers found a man dead inside. he was pronounced dead on the scene, suffering from gunshot wounds. what remains to be seen is was the person shot from inside the car or outside the car or shot somewhere else or was he a passenger or driver? all the questions need to be answered by the investigators. it is now re-opened and everything is back to normal but this investigation continues. we do not know yet the identity of the person found dead. we are live in the

darrick ward, and back to you. this stretch is back open after a deadly crash, and several planes were closed to traffic. a man was hit and killed by a car while he was crossing the road. police still investigating what led up to the crash. we, of course, will get updates. as we do we will push them out through the nbc washington app. police also investigating a gun battle that broke out in brandy wine. two suspects broke into that home there you are looking at at around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. they fired shots at the people inside and the people inside fired back. one intruder was killed, and the other got away. police say they don't believe this was a random crime.

tabs on what is a developing story out of little rock, arkansas. the u.s. marshal service confirming the arrest of ricky hampton, the first confirmed suspect at the mass shooting. police say two people are in critical condition this morning. in all we know 28 people got hurt. nbc's chris pallone reports on what was a horrific shooting that now has that club shutting its doors for good. >> it happened in little rock's power ultra lounge. one mow many people having a good time listening to music, the next, gunshots and screams and panics. >> in all, police say 25 people were shot, at least three others were injured trying to get out. police say there were several shooters in the gun battle. >> some sort of dispute broke out between individuals that

makes for a great day to fire up the grill and head to the pool and have a barbecue. for now, back to you all. >> thank you. a dozen people were hurt after an uber driver passed out behind the wheel and slammed into pedestrians in harlem. take a look at what happened. can you see the black suv mangled on the sidewalk outside the wendy's there with some of the injured people getting help. the driver had a medical condition that caused him to slam into a city bus and lose control. people on the sidewalk said they did what they could to get out of the way. >> i grabbed him to go this way, and everybody just kind of -- i went against the wall. it seemed very -- >> the driver, a passenger in the uber and a police officer were among those taken to the hospital, and two people are in critical but stable condition,
