teacher's aide is charged with seven counts of sexually assaulting young middle schoolboys while recording his acts. >> student safety is job one and clearly we have work to do to ensure that this will never happen again. >> reporter: 30-year-old bell was a teacher's aide. investigators believe some of the students were victimized there, others at bell's home. >> today we're asking parents who have children that may have had any contact with mr. bell to sit down and have a conversation with them regarding this matter. >> reporter: bell worked in several classrooms where he was assigned to both general ed and special education students from sixth through eighth grade. he had been there since 2015 and also worked as a track coach at laplata high school. >> in an organization that's all about children, these le

>> bell was indicted this past friday after child pornography was found on his phone by maryland state police. the police had bell's phone since december of 2016 after a parent reported him from inappropriately texing a high school student but it took months for state investigators to uncover the video on bell's phones. >> the reality is that they don't have the resource to get it done more quickly. doesn't mean they're sitting up there twitling their thumbs not doing anything, they're busting their hump. >> reporter: bell has not worked for the charles county school system since december of 2016, after they retrieved his phones and he was facing allegations of inappropriately texting a student. now, again, he was just looking -- they were just looking at him for inappropriately texting, not knowing anything about the child pornography video until that was uncovered on his phone by state investigators. now charles county sheriff's department is asking anyon

i.c.e. officials say that mendez managed to get out of a vehicle as they were taking to him dulles airport. he ran off into a wooded area, but crews did find him about two hours later. in boston a taxi driver plowed into a crowd and left ten people injured. it happened near logan international airport. it appears to be a case of operator error after the driver stepped on the gas pedal instead of the break. security tight on the national mall as tourists are flocking there. police busy setting up security check points for the fireworks show, they're busy, too, practicing for the concert. we've got team coverage for you tonight and big show tomorrow. amelia draper is tracking the threat of rain. let's begin with megan fitzgerald, she's down at the mall and a look at what they can expect down there, hey, megan. >> reporter: yeah, we've seen
