interviewed walker's mother just before a tragic ordeal for this family. >> reporter: indeed, very tragic. i spoke to this mother four years ago about her teenage son being killed while trying to deliver some shoes to a girlfriend for valentine's day. fast forward to this morning, another son killed in prince george's county. >> it's the worst nightmare. >> reporter: she is filled with sadness, her 18-year-old son was shot and killed early this morning. >> i just can't understand why -- >> >> reporter: he was killed after visiting a friend. he was found suffering from a gunshot wound and he died on the scene. they are searching for a suspect and motive. >> did he receive any threats? >> no, he didn't. >> reporter: his older brother, c.j., was murdered four years

the 15-year-old was taking a valentine's day to his girlfriend. a judge sentenced his killer to 65 years in prison. >> when c.j. died, he stepped up to that plate and became that same child that would console me. >> reporter: now natasha is left searching for answers, hoping police catch the killer. what do you want them to do? >> i would love for you to step forward and to just man up to what you did or if anyone who knows something about him, this pain has to stop. >> reporter: indeed she is having a very painful time right now. police urge anyone with information about this homicide to call a prince george's county police department, meanwhile, the detectives are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest, and indictment in this case. live here in prince george's

county, news 4. leon is here at the live desk with the late breaking development tonight, steve scalise's condition has taken a turn for the worse. about an hour ago, med star announced it has readmitted him to the icu. doctors say there is new concerns about infection. right now the lawmaker is in serious condition. two days after that shooting at the congressional baseball practice in alexandria where scalise was shot in the hip and most seriously injured. hospital discussed the challenges they forsaw him facing in his recovery. >> other things to worry about include infections and otherically kagss that come about. >> this situation in some way had been anticipated. med star now is going to give us another update on the congressman's conditioning they tell us. the house bhip and several others were injured last month you may recall. two capitol police officers by the way were honored for their bravery that day during a ceremony at the congressional

hallie jackson, nbc news, warsaw. she paid for her two-year-old son to have his own seat, but that didn't stop united airlines from giving that spot to a stand by passenger. tonight the airline is saying sorry. the toddler had to sit in his mother's lap on a flight from houston to boston last week, a standby passenger claimed the toddler was in the passenger's seat. the mother said she paid for her son's seat, but a flight attendant said the flight was full. >> i was very uncomfortable. my hand, my arm, my left arm was smashed up against the wall. i lost feeling in my legs and my left arm. >> united said gate agents inaccurately scanned the boy's boarding pass showing he was not on the flight. so staff released his seat. the airline is refunding the boy's ticket and giving the family a travel voucher, surely she says she's nervous about flying united again. one of the greatest

solved. involving the disappearance of the first female pilot to fly solo across the atlantic. >> story's been all over social media today. amelia earhart and her plane vanished back in 13937 on her attempt to fly around the world. she is thought to have crashed and died in the pacific. >> now a documentary assisted by nbc, points to new evidence uncovered in one secret ph housed in the u.s. archives. the photograph, according to experts and facial imaging comparison appears to show earhart and her navigator, fred noonen on a dock next to a japanese ship. the documentary suggests it's the strongest ed yet that earhart survived and probably later died in japanese custody in the pacific. >> none of that has been exclusively defined. so this adds another layer, it's another nool

weekend, especially on sunday. low humidity moving into the area. currently temperatures for the most part in the 70s, 75 degrees in washington, and here's the latest check of storm team 4 radar. scattered showers across the area. the heaviest rain now down in prince william and charles county. not picking up any lightning though. and tomorrow morning, 7:00 a.m. for the most part, scattered showers throughout. patchy fog as well. that could slow you down, cloudy skies. by 9:00 a.m., if you're heading out, if you walk or bicycle to work, you want to keep this in mind tomorrow that you'll likely deal with rain. here we are at noon on future weather, still scattered showers across the area as we head into the afternoon hours, we'll add in the chance for some thunderstorms as well. widespread severe thunderstorms not likely, but any storms that do form could not only have heavy rain, but maybe some gusty winds. maybe a little bit of hail as well. lauren and myself will be in during the afternoon hours. updating you with the latest forecast. here we are tomorrow evening, 7:00, still more rain. a lot of people asking now about
