hours. >> and this is breaking and we have learned in the past few minutes that everyone is actually okay. let me tell you what we're looking at here, this is rescuers part of prince william county, fire and rescue. they're wrapping up what was a moment that broke over the past hour. we know that two young kids were out kayaking on the

when they were drifting away. they yelled for help and that's when first responders came on in. let me show you how quickly it's moving and give you some idea how high it is. you can see here this time, almost as tall as i am, look out there, that one completely submerged, you can see the water moving quickly as strong current and that is what caught those two young kids. let me show you the boat that got back here. we'll show you this video that we grabbed in about 15 minutes. this was the struggle for some of the first responders, too. while they were able to get themselves to safety. the first responders were out on the waterfront, 15 to 20 minutes longer they had hoped they were struggling to get through. the motor could not push through some of the strong current. they were able to get back to this spot here along linden hall road. everyone here is okay. but it serves as a warning for how quickly these waters can rise and even though

wood street in district heights, that's where dorsey spencer joins live with reaction from a very concerned police chief. dorsey. >> residents and evidence markers here at the woodland springs apartments in district heights. early morning gunfire left two men dead in the parking lot. they were the sixth and seventh victims in a spike in fatal shooting of prince georges county in just the last five days. >> i don't know what happened. but usually everybody is friendly and everybody knows everybody. >> the police chief said it's unusual for the county and much of the violence is stemming from petty disputes. it's were to say they stem from a disagreement. >> these are interpersonal disputes, long-standing, known parties that have evolved tragically into solving a problem with a gun. >> a 33-year-old man lost his life on the

we've got a lot going on in the weather. we've got some warnings coming in. some of them may be a tornado warning. >> well, we have a severe thunderstorm warning, this tornado warning just pumped up right now. that goes until 6:15 at this point. it literally just popped up about 10 seconds ago. that's what we'll be talking about, this storm moving our way. >> this is a tornado warning from madison county. . you can see, lauren, this very distinctive right here on the radar and that's what we look for when we see a tornado. it has that classic look of a tornado and this isn't going

be an ef 5 roaring tornado, likely, smaller, producing -- >> i'm going to take over for a minute. but this is a really dangerous storm. if you're in the culpepper county area, you'll want to take shelter again, tornado warning until 6:15, along with a severe thunderstorm warning. there we go right there. is there any way that we can zero in on that so i can see that towns that we're looking at right now at this point. here is culpepper right there, there's 522, pretty much right by locust dell. this area right here. this is where we're seeing that tornado warning. again, we will be watching this very closely. its could be a small tornado in our -- in our region just right around the culpepper, just to the area south and the east. that's going to be

police are hoping someone will recognize the atv riders in this just released video. the group has been terrorizing. >> the surveillance video was taken on sunday june 25th around 7:30 at night. cameras captured illegal operating these dirt bikes at a number of locations. the riders have been seen going the wrong way down streets and popping willies in traffic. some of them are sidewalks
