that will help things warming up to 90 degrees. will notice changes in terms of humidity. the entire weekend forecast plus the beach forecast coming up. we'll check in with you then. thanks, sheena. let's get you back to breaking news we're following. this coming into us from georgetown. live on the scene. derrick, what can you tell us? >> well, this street is still brokd here. we are at the foot of wisconsin avenue looking west down water street. take a look, the crime scene is actually 3500 block of water street near the key bridge boathouse in the washington canoe club. it was about 2:55 this morning, just before 3:00 when police were called to this area for the sound or report of gunfire. when they got here, two adult males, both pronounced dead at the scene. no word on what they were doing in the area. a lookout post gray nissan with 7bb

but other than that, not a lot of information. as you can imagine things happen in georgetown in the morning, previous night spilled over in the morning. we talked to one guy who thought he was fortunate to find a parking space down that way towards the end of the whitehurst freeway. as it turned out, he turned out not to be so lucky. take a listen. >> i had my truck back there. i was trying to get back to my truck. they wouldn't let us through. i was at the bar last night, walked out to another bar. trying to get back to my truck and go home and i'm stuck. what we did see was workers on key bridge were just allowed through there now. just before that canines and homicide detectives heading to the scene. stell an active scene, still an investigation into the double homicide in georgetown early this morning. we're live on water street, derrick ward, news 4. back to you. >> dek,

the potomac where right now alexandria police are piecing together a deadly crash. this happened in old town after 3:00. investigators found near south henry street, duke street. emergency crews we know rushed one person to the hospital for their injury. the other person didn't make it. we'll update you on the crash as soon as we get more information. >> 7:04, we'll follow this story out of the district where d.c. police trying to figure out what caused this fatal crash in the southeast. police say one person was killed near the intersection of 22nd street and alabama avenue. there was no one else involved in that crash besides the victim. you can follow updates on this in our nbc washington app. >> angie, a child in critical condition this morning after another crash in prince george's county. it happened last night 7:30 branch avenue and naylor road. look at that scene there. paramedics took two kids and two adults to the hospital. folks who live near the intersection, they say it's dangerous. police are working

a loud boom that echoed into nats park. not what fans want to hear. caused by a generator that exploded in a construction site southwest. that explosion not far from center field gate during last night's game. just to be safe fans were told not to leave the park through those gates. fire, ems showed up but no one got hurt. they want to find out the person who shot a bald eagle july 4th. unfortunately wild arrive officials had to euthanize the bird. it was too injured. the eagle was found shot at a park in hartford county. the officer wrapped it up in his car until a specialist could arrive. bald eagles no longer endangered but they are a protected species and there are laws against shooting one. give you a live look outside. 75 northwest. a mild start to the temperatures. it's going to get hot.

homicide detectives remain on scene after two men were shot and killed. >> news 4's derrick ward joining us live not far from key bridge boathouse with the very latest. derrick, what have you learned? >> well, let me show you. let me set the scene. we're at the foot of wisconsin avenue west down water street, whitehurst freeway. everything west of wisconsin is going to be closed for at least another hour of this investigation which began just before 3:00 this morning. that was when police responding to 3500 block of water street, the report of a shooting. got here, two adult males pronounced dead on the scene. no identities at this point. we don't know if they are in a car or not or exactly where they were. it is the 3500 block of water street. that is near key bridge boathouse and washington canoe club. not sure if either establishments are involved in the investigation. we do know police put out a lookout for a gray nissan. we don
