police say the baby was outside when the shooting started and was accidentally hit. officers were in the area and arrived almost immediately to help treat the child. the baby was taken to children's hospital and is doing okay. >> prince george's firefighters were taken to the hospital late last night after a basement fire. this happened on bruton street sometime before 10:20 off kipling parkway. four people who lived at the home have to find somewhere else to stay. no word on what started that fire. >> 6:05 is your time. other top stories we're following this morning. 16 people are dead and teams are searching for more victims this morning in this marine plane crash. it happened in mississippi last night. right now the area around the crash is considered unsafe because of all the fuel. our local affiliate is reporting the refueling tanker was full of ammunition. the fbi is working to find out why the plane went down. a u.s. army soldier is accused of trying to help the

the sergeant from hawaii made his first court appearance yesterday on charges he tried to help isis. the fbi says he tried to give military documents to people he believed would pass them on to isis. agents say he pledged loyalty to the leader of isis and wanted to kill, quote, a bunch of people. in prince george's and fairfax counties, the fbi headquarters will not be moving. for years, the two counties competed hoping the new fbi building would be built in their communities. the new facilities was expected to bring hundreds of jobs, businesses and a lot of attention to the area. later today the general services administration is expected to make the announcement. this was first reported by the "washington post" and the washington business journal yesterday. at 6:06, breaking news in silver spring. angie goff looking into this. >> one woman in serious condition and still no update on how the man was doing. take a look

lane in silver spring after 2:00 this morning. montgomery county investigators on the scene gathering evidence and trying to keep together what led up to the shooting. police have not released any information on a suspect. but we'll continue to bring you updates as we get them. i'm angie goff at the live desk. this was the scene on capitol hill yesterday as people protested the republican health care bill. doctors, nurses and patients with preexisting conditions urged lawmakers to vote no. overall, 80 people were arrested in protests here. the protests could get even bigger later this week. >> that is because senate republicans could unveil changes to their bill as early as thursday. leaders have been working on changes for moderate and conservative republicans. >> insurance that costs less and covers less. lawmakers will also want to know the analysis from the congress smal budget office. they want to

investigation into a series of burglaries. the howard county officers say they tried to stop a crime in progress on manor drive in mt. airy, maryland. the suspect tried to ram their patrol car. one suspect is dead, the other under arrest. the officers were not hurt. covering prince george's county now. it is a crime that most people find hard to imagine. a stepson is accused of murdering his stepfather. >> the victim's twin brother wants to know why it happened and whether it could have been prevented. angie goff has more from the newsroom. angie? >> p they had a rocky and combative, violent relationship. donald says he knew something bad was going to happen if he stayed in the same house. as a matter of fact, two months ago, beverly choked his step dad during an argue upt and beverly was hit with a stay-away order.

northeast. this is a block north of the h street corridor. the baby was outside when the shooting started and was accidentally hit. officers were in the area and arrived nearly immediately to help treat the baby. the baby was taken to children's hospital and is doing okay. in manassas, there were tears and anger from people who live at this mobile home park last night. the city council opted to delay a decision on a plan that would keep the east end mobile home park open. the group catholics for housing wants to buy the property and fix the broken water and sewer system. the city was going to buy the park, but it would mean evicting 55 foom families. the city council wants negotiations on the deal to continue with that nonprofit group. as the sunrises, the search for more bodies at the scene of a military plane crash in mississippi continues. 16 on board the c-130 were killed, many bodies recovered. debris could be seen
