a consumer alert tonight, four paint companies have agreed to settle charges that they deceive their customers. the ftc said the customers who thought they were buying environmentally friendly paint were misled. our consumer reporter susan hogan joins us to know tell us what she has learned about this. this is disturbing. >> this is a pretty big deal, wendy. for those of you who prurpfully choose products. here are the four companies under fire by the ftc. benjamin, color house and impure yal paint. the

promoted their paint products as emission free or containing zero volatile organic compounds, known as boc after application. according to the settlement, some promotions even made explicit safety claims regarding babies and pregnant women, however, the ftc alleged the companies had no evidence to support these claims. benjamin are also accused of marketing their paint, kbruzing environmental seals without disclosing to its customers the customer had awarded the seals to own products. the settlement reached today prohibits them from making unqualified claims and they all must stop using existing marketing materials that mislead their customers. now in a statement to news 4. it will make the statement more prominent on the labels and marketing materials so our customers can make more informed decisions. they told us, it is updati

quite like what he saw on south dakota avenue today. >> the majority of the a young woman set to be in her 20s, struck by a big dump truck, the truck belongs to fort meyer construction company that does a lot of the road work for our city fort meyer has a work yard nearby. the woman was walking when it happened, but was she in the crosswalk at 33rd street or on south dakota avenue at the time of impact. police are trying to figure that out. now, this incident was captured in part by security cameras from the gas station nearby. you can see the woman walking down the sidewalk on south dakota avenue towards the 33rd street she goes out of view so it's unclear to exactly where she was when she was struckby

right now, guys, we're seeing we do have that severe thunderstorm warning coming closer, this is in louden county and clark county, too, against severe thunderstorm warning for those three counties louden county and clark county until 6:30. this storm making its way, it will still stay to the north of 66. i think this is really clark county and louden county. you can see it moving a little bit more to the east and southeast, but still tracking the storm. this is right around the blue mont area. so heads up if you're around blue mont, moving towards leesburg, i think it will move just out around the middle berg area. on that track we're going to be near
