thanks, guys. >> thank you, lauryn. we're learning tragic details concerning a death investigation in mclean. >> news 4 derrick ward joining us with new details from police. this has shocked a neighborhood, derrick. >> reporter: indeed it has. it was already shocking enough that you had two bodies found in this house yesterday. then to learn the relationship and the circumstances, well, that's just made eight lot more troubling for a lot of folks. this all started at 2:00 p.m. yesterday when miss were called to this house. they were told by the caller someone might have been killed inside. swab got here, weren't able to reach anyone in the house. reverse 911 to the neighbors, they told them to stay in place by phone call. when police got in, they did, indeed, find two bodies. this morning we're learning the identity of those two people. the first person is 23-year-old helen lor

the other pamela hansen haragan. mother and daughter relationship. they believe helen haragan shot her mother, palm la hanson haragan and shot herself. circumstances surrounding this are being investigated. can you see this is still a crime scene. police also want people to know a 7-year-old child, a girl normally at the house was not at home at the time of this incident. they also say all the dogs accounted for. folks learning of this are, indeed, shocked and the investigation continues. we are live in mclean, derrick ward, news 4, back to you. >> derrick, thanks. four days of testimony and evidence, more than six hours of deliberations. the result, no verdict. a judge declaring a mistrial in the murder case of a beloved wedding caterer. last august kempton bonds had a summer job with fairfax park authority. he was

it's in credible. what you're watching here is a massive video. homes swallowed by the home in pasco county florida, 40 miles north of tampa. officials say no one inside the home but firefighters had to rescue two dogs. at least 10 other homes in that neighborhood have been evacuated just as a precaution. thank you, david. this morning at least three people dead and a dozen others seriously hurt following this devastating apartment fire. it happened in hawaii last night. honolulu's mayor says the burning highrise did not have sprinklers. then listen to this, according to our nbc station, because the elevators are down, firefighters had to use human chains to get equipment to the crews. investigators are working to learn what caused the deadly fire. let's take you outside and give you a live look from our windows on the world right here, at least on our local area. it's going to feel hot outside but a lot more comfortable when we compare it to recent

mayor bowser says it doesn't solve all the problems because folks still need to be educated. >> throughout the summer we'll work to educate more washingtonians on the availability of narcan and new and very real dangers of drug compounds that pervade our streets today. >> the funding is expected to help the district by 2500 kits. this is a story that you'll only see on news 4. the family of a crash victim. raising questions about a dumptruck driver accused in a different crash. only news 4 talked with the family of bianca butler. she was the woman seriously hurt after a dumptruck hit her on south dakota avenue in northwest d.c. the crash happened on tuesday. sources tell us two years ago that very same driver ismail alvarez hit and killed a woman gallaudet university student, hit and killed her crossing the street.

as you can imagine, the woman's family is angry. >> he shouldn't have been driving, this would never have happened to bianca. i don't fault the driver, i fault the contractor. after this week's crash alvarez was arrested in that 2015 crash, we should mention. for this week's crash, he's not been charged in the most recent accident. his employer fort meyer construction says safety is their top priority and is working with police now. >> i know both of us saw those storms rolling through yesterday. many of you waking up to clean up after that heavy rain. the wind gust causing that you see there across parts of d.c., maryland, and virginia. >> take a look at this. the storm caused a tree to fall onto a car and into a house in d.c. right there. people, by the way, inside that house at the time this happened. but they are okay. trees caused metro problems. a rider tweet out a photo, one that side swipd this train here. this is before the station on the orange line. passengers boarded a rescue train.

i'm melissa mollet with first4traffic. start with metro, we do have two stations closed, medical center and bethesda. buzzes between heights and dprofner. yellow line, regular weekend intervals between huntington and national airport this weekend. as far as what's regular, regular weekend service, orange, silver, blue and green lines. taking a look at the roads for the weekend. one thing i do want to mention there, bethesda, rockville pike, medical center metro. 10:00 p.m. friday until 5:00 a.m. monday. we do have two northbound lanes shut down. to change. june 2016, the deadliest flood in six years. but parts of west virginia under water. hundreds of homes destroyed. thousands of lives impacted. >> there were hundreds of families that lost their housing, lost loved ones. family pets. it was just a complete loss. so i had to do something. there was a family that had 13 children, and they weren't able to transport them. we were able to get a van together through other community members, purchase 15 passenger van, get it renovated, down to them and even pay the first year of insurance. that allowed them to start doing athletics, going to doctor's appointments, things they couldn't logistically handle without transportation so it was a game changer for them. honestly, i see a need, and i think i have to do something to fix it. i'm just a fixer. >> maura's earths to help flood victims went
