well, you have to start with the baseline facts that sometimes get pushed into the background ands that is that the cia and all of the other u.s. intelligence organizations are unanimous in saying there was an unprecedented assault on our democracy directed by russia, apparently ordered by vladimir putin. and that they hacked, illegally hacked into e-mails and other accounts and then weaponized that information in a very deliberate effort to try to turn the election toward donald trump. and so everything that's coming out now has to be seen in that context and for me, i have so much confidence as i think almost everybody does in bob mueller, the independent counsel, it's great our country has a man like him that everybody can rely on. whatever they o

confidence in it. >> as you say, most people including the intelligence agency say there was russia interference in the election. the question is, did the trump campaign have a hand in that interference. we got e-mails from donald trump jr. himself that showed he walked into a meeting under the pretext of getting information about hillary clinton from a russian attorney. do you believe that the trump campaign worked with the russian government or some russian entity to put its thumb on the scale of that election. >> well, the disclosures last week are certainly some of the most troubling that we've seen in a while. again, i think it's best to wait for bob mueller. john mccain and by the way i wish him very well in his recovery, he said it's another shoe dropping from the centipede. there are going to be a lot more disclose yours ahead if it follows the pattern of all these leaks from apparently inside the white house. >> i'm curious to know, mr. vice president, because you were one of only two living people on this planet who can appreciate what it's like to win the

225 feet in diameter and 50 feet deep. you could almost fit a 747 jumbo jet down there now filled with water and debris that began beneath a boat last friday. it's known as sinkhole alley since there are so many here. in 2013 another sleep hole opened up swallowing a man as he vept in his bedroom his body was never recovered. and a sinkhole took down part of this resort hotel near disney world. tear fooig fied tourists losing items but escaped with their lives. the cleanup could take months, the emotional damage must -- much longer. >> picture leaving for work like many americans do and coming back and there's nothing left. >> the big question this morning has this sinkhole stopped growing? and geologist say they just don't know. back to you. >> thanks so much.

frustrated. at one point you said you viewed it as a personal failure that more hadn't been done about climate change. what did you mean by that? >> the large carbon polluters have used the playbook from the tobacco companies years ago by putting out false information, trying to pull the wool over people's eyes. but people are seeing through it now because mother nature has joined the debate. it's long been virtually unanimous in the scientific community, but now mother nature is pretty persuasive, not only with the downpours and floods and mudslides but the droughts and the sea lexington rise. i went to miami on a sunny day, no rain, and i saw pish from the ocean swimming in the streets in miami beach just because it was a high tide. >> why is this issue historically been so difficult to sink in with people? you had over the years it's behind healthcare and terrorism and jobs and all the things people worry about. those numbers goe up 45%, people say they do believe climate change is a big

hoe do you think. >> they say if you see a turtle on top of a fence post you can be pretty sure it didn't get there by itself. and the continuing climate denial such as it is is intentionally created by the large carbon polluters trying to squeeze more profits out of their business plan no matter the consequences. but there's also the fact that it's a global issue, it's bicker th -- bigger than anything we've had to confront in the past and we still rely on carbon-based fuels for 80% of the world's energy. but the good news is, solar electricity and wind electricity have come down so quickly in price in many areas it's much cheaper than electricity from burning fossil fuels. now the batteries are coming down in price as well. and efficiency improvements. solar jobs are now growing in the u.s. 17 times faster than other jobs. we are really seeing a surge in
