police are investigating a homicide that started out as an assault case. he was arrested and charged. the victim died yesterday. police say additional charges against them are pending. the victim was attacked as she left convenient store on the night of monday july 10th. the victim was unconscious when police found them lying on the ground. this is the third homicide in alexandria this year. >> this is the fourth time this year when it's been seen on this very road. on indian head highway. this time, it happened around 210. neighbors who live in that area, they tell us they know this is a dangerous area, and they've been wondering speed cameras have been down. derrick has explored that question tonight. derrick. >> we talked to folks that live in this area and they say it's not uncommon for cars to come off of a second dare road like

over shoot into the wrong lane of traffic. there's no indication yet if that's what happened here earlier this afternoon. folks, there's one of the many problems that's along 210 between here. the least of them is speeding and all of this is brought to light after that horrific crash earlier this morning. >> it's a few miles from the beginning of route 210 and washington to advocate. it's known to be a dangerous and deadly stretch. >> we call it the bloody pass because 19 persons have been killed on this roadway in the last four years, including four this year. >> early this morning, two more deaths. a head-on collision on indian head highway near palmer road. police say a car going the wrong way on the southbound side and head on to southbound car. drivers of both cars died. >> i mean, i've seen bad accidents thus far when last night was the worst. >> how do you end the roadway that carries more than 75,000

nation's airports. >> this vast majority loaded with rounds in the chamber. nbc tom constello joins us now. what does tsa say is going on. >> the numbers are really stunning. so far, they've had 1,800 loaded guns showing up at tsa check points. we had a record set on a weekly basis last week, on one day alone, on the 11th, 20 guns confiscated around the country. if this pace continues, they'll confiscate more than 3,600 guns. they're not confiscating that. that's up to the police to decide. they discover the weapons, somebody if, you are found with a gun coming into a check point, you can face a fine of up to $12,000. you can face jail time, depending on the jurisdiction. that's a city ornc
