this morning, and it happened in petworth, and one of those men have died. >> and deriarrick has an update. >> reporter: no suspect, no motives in the shooting on kansas northwest. it was 2:00 this morning when metropolitan police were called here at the intersection of fifth and kansas, and two adult men had been shot and one was pronounced dead at the scene and the other taken to the hospital and no word on his condition. some of the folks who live on the block said they had no idea anything like this had gone on until police converged on the scene. kansas avenue is a pretty busy thoroughfare here, it runs north and south and early in the morning or late

there's always traffic there. police are asking anybody with information to contact them. again, two people shot here at about 2:00 this morning and one person is dead. we're live in northwest, and back to you. a suspected ms-13 gang member connected to two killings in texas was found here in our area. he was arrested yesterday. police in houston said he goes by the name also of terror. it's not yet known why he was in northern virginia. and here's what we know, gang task force leaders says that gang is known to rotate some of the members to other cliques in the country especially when they are wanted by police. police say there could be more victims out there, and

arrested this man, charles barry, jr., and he raped a girl last month. he took her to a hotel in germantown. barry is being held without bond. if you know anybody that could have been in contact with him, call police. we are going to stay in montgomery county for this next story. police are investigating a stabbing at a busy bethesda shopping mall, a 16-year-old boy stabbed a 60-year-old man last night. police are still looking for the teen this morning. as far as the man is concerned, we are told he should be okay. investigators think the victim and the attacker knew one another. at 9:03, this morning, d.c. police still trying to figure out how a man died at this car dealership, the body was

in australia because authorities arrested four unidentified men during a counter terror operation yesterday. the men are suspected of plotting a terrorists attack involving a airplane and multiple searches were done in the sidney suburbs and an explosives team was said to found a suspicious device and the men have not yet been charged. we are following breaking news in woodbridge, virginia. this just coming into our news room. prince william county police say they found a person dead inside of a burning home on walnut street just before 6:00 this morning. that person's identity still not known. investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. as soon as we get more information, we will pass it along to you. in the meantime, we want to give you a live look outside right now. it has been a soggy last couple of days, but we are saying good-bye to the showers. we have lauryn ricketts tracking a warmup, too. we will tell you how you can

welcome back. the newly commissioned "uss gerald ford" carrier, it was taken out for a test ride off the coast of virginia on friday. for the first time this happened, a fighter jet took off and land on a carrier using a new electronic magnetic system, and it's supposed to be more reliable than the old catapult system. it's not expected to be ready for deployment

it's 9:30 on this sunday morning. let's start you off in the district where police are investigating the homicide. you can see the scene there in petworth, and one man died and another in the hospital. this happened near decatur street. and then a suspected gang member was arrested in arlington. he came to northern virginia after killing a man earlier this month in the houston area, and he's accused of killing a 16-year-old boy last year. donald trump staying focused on health care, and the president says the effort to repeal and replace the affordable health care act is not dead.

fallout continues this morning after 135 people got sick after eating at a local chipotle. two of those customers are suing the chain for $74,000 plus interests, and they ate at the sterling location around july 14th. two other customers tested positive for a strain of norovirus. this is not the first time chipotle has come under fire after an e. coli outbreak three years ago. and then using hemp, in the skwrpbl assembly they
