here. the loudoun county sheriff's department say courtney ash was last seen leaving a relative's home on friday night. she was supposed to bring her son and his cousin to another relative's home in leesburg but never arrived. deputies say they're likely in a blue ford taurus with virginia tags. vuv 9844. senseless, that's how d.c.'s police chief is describing this past weekend after there were ten shootings in less than 24 hours to express his frustration on twitter yesterday. justin finch joins us outside to explain what happened and how police want the community to get involved to stop the violence. justin? >> reporter: eun, that's right. d.c. police say now is not the time to keep anything to yourself. if you see something out there, they need you to say something. take a look at this. your police quite busy yesterday. spread across the district. going from

another. take you to sunday, about 8:00 p.m., this is the 3500 block of clay place northeast. that's where police found a man shot. then close by, at 18th place and c street northeast, a second man was also found shot. police telling us that both men were breathing and conscious when they were found. but sunday afternoon a different story. about 3:00 on the 4400 block of coral street northeast is where a man was found shot and killed discovered dead in the yard of an apartment complex. neighbors nearby understandably shaken up by this. >> you got kids out here. i hate to see that it was broad daylight out here. >> reporter: that neighbor makes a point that police believe is true. all too often, people are out there and see things and are too afraid to report the
