protesters fighting to save two people brought here as children. an assault outside a d.c. restaurant on a busy saturday night what it has to do with a symbol of president trump. the search for a virginia mother, her son and young cousin ended in tragedy tonight. >> those heavy rains we had played a big role. after three days of searching it was a family member who found her car overturned in a creek. chopper 4 flew over the scene here in loudoun county. the car and all three bodies were discovered late this afternoon. courtney ashe and the two boys had been missing since friday. shomari stone has reaction from the family tonight. >> reporter: good evening. i spoke with courtney ashe's mother. it's really sad because courtney and the boys were here at this apartment complex visiting

mother. they left here and it was rainy and windy and then all of a sudden they had the crash. she she did not know about that. the sheriff's deputies were searching all week long. her new jersey relatives, they came down here and searched and they found the bodies. >> i'm hurt. i'm so hurt. i don't know what i'm going to do. >> reporter: sabrina joule just arrived home after spending the evening at a crash scene. her daughter's car flipped over in a creek in lees burg. the bodies of her daughter, her grandson and courtney's 9-year-old cousin jalen are also here. courtney left her mother's house before the crash. >> it was raining really, really hard when they left here friday. i, again, ask myself, why didn't you make them stay? >> reporter: loudoun county sheriff michael chapman. i

scenario and we really feel for the family. >> reporter: the sheriff believes the car hit a guardrail on the bridge over the creek and ended up in the water five yards from the embankment. investigators believe the crash happened in the stormy weather. courtney's body was ejected from the car. courtney grew up in loudoun county. she was visiting relatives. we talked to jalen's stepmother before she went out on her own search. she and her husband found the crash scene. >> it's a nightmare. >> i never expected this. it's a shock to me. i never expected this at all. >> reporter: this family is really mourning tonight. now, as for the medical examiner they will conduct an autopsy and determine the exact cause of death. live in leesburg, i'm shomari stone,

from a system to a tropical depression and within two hours a tropical storm off the coast of tampa. falling apart a little bit. it is expected to move back into open waters. right now winds are 30 miles an hour moving east as 9. it stays well off the coast here. may make it back to a subtropical depression on wednesday. but way far from our area and continues to stay out to sea. not going to see much here at all. tomorrow, a slight chance of shower or thunderstorm. not at 8:00 a.m. getting the kids ready to go. at 2:00 we might see an isolated shower along i-95. do you need the umbrella? probably not. the showers will be quick but there could be a quickdown pour or two. and that is all there will be through the day on wednesday. 9:00 a.m., sun block whether it's the pool or the camp or
