her car was found overturned in a creek. the loudoun county sheriff says the car was driving in stormy weather when it hit a guardrail. >> that ford taurus flipped over and ended up in the water. it was found off evergreen mills road in leesburg. ash's body was ejected from the car. her son and 9-year-old cousin were found in the water. ash's mother is heartbroken. >> it was raining really, really hard when they left here friday. i, again, ask myself why didn't you make them stay. >> the mother of ash's cousin found the car yesterday afternoon. the family says the young woman has three other children, including a 2-month-old. developing this morning, st. barnabas road in temple hills is back open after a deadly crash. prince george's county police say the driver was in a

lot off branch avenue and lost control of her car last night. the car went into the road and hit another car with three people inside. they are all going to be okay. but the driver of that first car died. police have not identified the victim. right now, prince william county police need your help finding this man, robert bruce graham ii. take a look at his picture. he left his home in bristow around 2:00 p.m. yesterday. police believe he may need help. if you see him, call police. 5:03 right now. there's growing outrage from parents in a school sex abuse scandal and now a top official has been resigned a. signed. the principal from benjamin stoddard middle school in charles county will work for the county's office of supporting services. the change comes after investigators filed new charges against a former teacher's aide accused of sex abuse. carlos bell faces more than 100 charges now. there are at least 24 victims. prosecutors warn there could be

state's attorney as this investigation is not yet over. now take a look. as you mentioned here, we have charges, word of charges being filed against carlos bell. 119 charges filed. as many as 24 victims counted. this child porn probe. he's reportedly hiv positive and was a track coach and charles county aide. he's accused of recording himself on cell phones sexually assaulting middle school age boys and giving those boys marijuana as well. we now know that this abuse spanned more than two years. >> where was this taking place at that none of the teachers or staff or anybody that worked there said anything or did anything? >> we still need help from the public. we still need people who know something about this case to contact sheriff's

>> reporter: and bell is also charged with knowingly transmitting hiv. we can tell you right now, the ripple effects are also being felt at stoddard middle school. we'll have that angle coming up at 6:00 a.m. back in to you. >> justin, thank you. now, the charles county school district has a new website to help both students and teachers recognize sexual abuse. it has links to a lot of prevention resources. this is the one to the website darkness to light. it outlines five steps to help protect your children. you can find a link in the nbc washington app by searching protect kids. the school district also says it's rolling out new classes for both students and teachers. take a look at the man you see wearing a white t-shirt in this video. d.c. police need help to find this person of interest. it has to do with a homicide that happened on kansas avenue in northwest over the weekend. police are offering a reward that leads to his arrest. two people were shot on sunday morning. one

>> we have new details in that inmate escape we told you about yesterday morning. 12 prisoners managed to sneak out of an alabama prison thanks to peanut butter. >> this is some of the evidence found inside the prison. turns out they used a new supply of peanut butter to trick a new guard. investigators say the inmate smeared it over the number of his cell and convinced the guard to open the wrong door that allowed them to break free. 11 of the inmates were captured by this time yesterday. one man remains on the run. angie goff here at the live desk. this just in. breaking news out of northeast d.c. that's where investigators, d.c. police, on the scene right now of the shooting in the 4400 block of pond street northeast. this is near kenilworth gardens. at this point, one person was hit, one man. he apparently is being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries. po

tropical depression emily could still dump even more rain on parts of florida this morning. it came ashore as a tropical storm yesterday causing minor damage, including flooding and power outages on the west coast of the sunshine state. many people felt winds of up to 45 miles per hour. >> you guys warned us it would be a named storms. no concerns around here with that storm. >> no concerns around here. we were watching it yesterday morning. it was an area of low pressure and then it was upgrade today a depression. i would say upgraded to a tropical storm. it was a quick switchover. tropical storm emily was a tropical storm. now it's a tropical depression. i'll show you the track in a second. it's not going to be affecting us. that's the good news. we have a nice dry stretch. that's going to continue. great day for the playground. if the kids want to head out there. it will be hotter this afternoon. temperatures around 90 degrees all week. the 80s return with a small rain chance. we'll be watching that

that meeting. his personal attorney is dism s dismissing the story. they're searching for a new communication's director. scaramucci was ousted yesterday. tracie potts will join us with a live report from capitol hill with more on what comes next. it's 5:34 right now. we're learning more about that shooting at a gop baseball practice in alexandria two months ago. capitol police officers were initially directed to the wrong location that morning. the response team was directed to house minority leader nancy pelosi's home in georgetown. it's not clear what caused the mixup. some capitol police officers were on site because scalise has a security detail. an internal investigation is now under way.

two brothers from deportation. the two were brought to the u.s. as children fleeing violence from el salvador. they played soccer regularly with the bethesda soccer club. diego earned a scholarship to play in college. he's supposed to start in the fall but i.c.e. agents detained both brothers on friday. friends demanded their release at a protest outside of the department of homeland security last night. >> we're committed to fight for this. we support any bipartisan initiatives to try to bring relief to youth. but we also call a halt to deportation, a halt to the destruction of our community and our families. >> the brothers would not have been priorities for deportation under the previous administration, but president trump's administration has made it clear that any u

immigrant may be deported. we are working to learn when the man accused of shooting a woman during a road rage incident will appear in court. ernest stick he will is back in virginia after being extradited. he turned himself into police after the shooting on july 19th. this happened in alexandria off the beltway on the eisenhower connector. witnesses heard a van and suv honking at each other. two people got out of the van yelling and challenging the suv driver to come out. that's when police say he opened fire. the woman who was shot is expected to be okay. 5:36 right now. >> several montgomery county firefighters are requesting protective orders against a fellow firefighter. this stems from an argument over a confederate flag license plate at the bethesda fire station earlier this month. according to court documents, this man saw the license plate on a pickup truck for charles lee. during a
