umbrella again in about four minutes. a local couple took a flight to paradise and found themselves in a complete nightmare. d.c. teacher, jennifer jones says she and her girlfriend were detained in aruba last week. it was after a note that said bomb was found in the bathroom. someone said jones was the last to use the facility so they placed the couple in arrest. local media published their pictures and called them criminal suspects. the nightmare lasted more than 24 hours. >> i was petrified. this is the most horrific thing that ever happened to me in my life. >> it seems as though there was definitely some discrimination involved, just to be honest. >> the women were released without charges. news4 has reached out to aruban authorities but we have not heard back. no one liko

bike. burgess johnson was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a driver on southeast. the drivers checked on him and left the scene. johnson died in july after the family decided to take him off life support. this afternoon his family will host a memorial event at the anacostia library and dedicate a bike painted in white and placed at the crash scene and asking to try to track the driver. this man, claudio vargas la zoe runs an in-home daycare and now charged with sexual battery. an 11-year-old girl says she was inappropriately touched. they also say another child was also victimized. police want to hear from anyone worried laz zoe had inappropriate contact with their child. >> a teacher will spend

welcome back. check out this incredible new video our sister station in chicago just got. an american airlines plane as it barrelled down the runway for takeoff. it catches fire and that started afternoon engine fan severed a fuel line. it had lifted off -- if it had lifted off there would have likely been a disaster on this plane. the pilot was able to stop the plane and evacuate everyone on board, thank goodness. one person suffered serious issues and an investigation is under way. wanted in a brutal stabbing death is wanted in a nationwide manhunt. they both gave themselves up last night, o
