memorial right here in ohio and we had to put the ceremony inside of a theater because we were worried people from the neo-nazis, kkk, would come and throw concrete at the people who were gathered to honor those people who were slaughtered, not just the people in the jewish communities across the board we had to move it inside the theater because of violence. this is a very serious matter. >> i keep thinking of politics today and how everyone is so divided, you're either wearing a trump t-shirt or you're not. isn't this a totally different level? you're talking about an ideology people died in this country to fight against, the nazis and you are seeing people in this rally saying things the nazis said. >> when you have -- when there's no human decency, it leads to disorder, which is what we saw down th

that may not be removed. i want him to do well. i want donald trump to understand it's not about winning an argument, about bringing the country together. not about having some argument to justify people on the left who went to a sweet town like charlottesville for the purposes of bringing violence. he has to make it clear. he has to fix this and republicans have to speak out. plain and simple. who cares what party you're in. >> you want him to do well. and people say the president crossed a line, not a fine line, a big fat definitive line and republicans and democrats. you're a guy by the end of the campaign people said incredibly good things about your character and your message and what you stood for, would you be willing to be the guy who goes around to republican leaders and said, this is our moment, we will tell this president we no longer support him period? >> well, matt,

president, okay? i'm here this morning speaking out as aggressively as i can. i hope that it will provide some courage to other people. there are great numbers of people now speaking out. he is our president. but i want to say that he needs to correct what he has said. he's got to understand what the people of this country want and he's got to bring us together. you're not going to turn your back on the president. you're going to speak clearly and bluntly and say get your act together. i lost a big ballot initiative in ohio, something i felt strongly about about labor unions and i got beaten soundly. you know what i did that night, i said, i heard the people and i'm going to listen to the people. president trump needs to listen to the people before he takes this presidency in a place that is not acceptable for our country. >> governor john kasich, thanks for your time this morning. we appreciate

we're back at 7:30, wednesday morning, 16th of august, 2017. good morning, everybody. >> let's look at headlines right now. protests raged outside trump tower for a second straight night. the latest demonstration were reactions to president trump laying blame on both sides of protesters for violence this past weekend in charlottesville, virginia. democrats and republicans have lined up to crazy the president including senator marco rubio who says the white house should label it a terror attack by white supremists. in cities across the country, overnight baltimore took down four statutes, among the

by the president yesterday in which he divided america, refused to condemn the hateful hate groups in charlottesville, how it all began, chanting anti-semitic remarks saying white people have a right to rule america. david duke calling the president out saying, look, we elected you, you owe us. the counter-demonstrators should learn something about how to be more effective. in my years as a reporter the most impressive thing i ever saw was a northern violent movement of dr. martin luther king. that moved this country because they were able to concentrate on the moral portions there. everybody has to take a look at what's going on. most of all, there has to be widespread condemnation of these hate groups that went to charlottesville and now feel empowered by the president's remarks. >>re

from here? how do we move on from this point? >> reporter: i don't know. it really does require presidential leadership of a higher order to bring the country together. now the question will be, how many members of his administration will feel they have to leave because they can't support those policies. do they come out and read some kind of statement. that won't be enough. he has to find a way to stitch the country back together again, frankly, i don't know whether he's capable of doing that in his own mind. this is the donald trump everybody in new york came to know when he was a businessman. he would always see things through his own prism. now he's the president of the united states and it's always somebody else's fault. mitch mcconnell's fault because they didn't get healthcare, someone else's fault. he's the moral authority by the office that he has and it's about time for him to exercise

and we took those remains and had them tested and sent off and they came back to be human. >> this is the first time we know this now this morning, right? >> yes. gabriel was very concerned. he's a parent, was concerned about dave and his family and information he was hearing from this individual and took the responsibility of calling dave and had him deal with me and he was very helpful in the information he shared. >> you talk about the fact any time you get a new lead, it's like reliving this over and over again. right now, you're in this waiting period to find out the identity. what is this like for you right now? >> over the past 12 years i've conditioned myself for basically failure. every lead we followed, it ends up no good. i went into this process very very skeptical, had the wall up, looking for ways of other excuses or whatever to say, this

this, is that right? >> yeah. back in 2015 we had a lead at the marriott hotel. the individual gave us some information that natalee was buried up under that hotel. after t.j. and i worked on it for some time we realized through help of the fbi that that was untrue. after that fall on the floor, so to speak, with me and my family, i said, i'll never ever lead my family on in a lead i'm not sure about. t.j. and i kept it between ourselves and proceeded on to protect me and my family. >> now, when do you think you'll find out? about how much longer? another week or two? >> it may take several weeks to learn the information whether it is natalee's remains. ift
