dozens more injured from a van that drove in to a crowd. >> it's two hours south of barcelona and now, we know some of the attackers are dead. we are tracking the news from the live desk. >> reporter: it's 5:00 a.m. in barcelona and much of the country is soon going to be waking up to the after math of the deadlieiest terror attack ty have seen in a decade. let's look at where the second attack happened, it was in the resort town of cambrils, they say troopers opened fire on five suspects, killing all of them. those suspects may have been wearing explosive vests. investigators say they believe they were linked to the barcelona attack and a separate deadly explosion that happened the night before. this news came hours after the horror we saw today where a car

injuring more than a hundred. two people were arrested and the driver is believed to be on the loose. today was the latest in a series of low-tech attacks in european cities. isis claims responsibility for barcelona's attack. but they have not confirmed it. >> things are getting back to normal at dulles international airport after a security scare there earlier tonight. >> we brought you the breaking news at fi5:00 and 6:00 tonight. a suspicion van brought out of the bomb squad, megan has more on the impact. >> reporter: it took passengers longer to access the airport, but the officers said that they were forced to shut down the entire section of the ticketing terminal here. they tell us that a k-nine handler was alerted that this was

sort inside a van that was just outside the doors here. so, police took action, to make sure that passengers in the area were safe. chopper 4 flew over what was a tense scene for many passengers arriving the airport. first, a robot, inspected the vehicle. opening up the rear door. and then moments later, a virginia state police officer suited up to do his own inspection. meanwhile, traffic in to the airport was at a crawl. since cars were diverted to the lower level. >> if somebody left something there and they would come get it or they would shut everything down. so, it's just, you know, it's normal. really. >> reporter: travelers like rob hornbuckle were not too bothered by the delays. and within two hours, the scene was all clear. and the airport was back to normal. but some passengers say this is just another reminder of how you always have

his dog were gunned down on the river walk trail in southeast. roy is charged tonight with first degree murder. no word yet if the two men knew one another. >> tonight a mother is upset after her 2-year-old son was left inside a daycare van for more than two hours. the toddler attends new creation child development center. it's located at new image community baptist church on alabama avenue in southeast. his mother told news 4 the incident happened while the daycare was on a field trip to the movies earlier today. she said that the daycare staff didn't call an ambulance until they returned to the school. her son was taken to children's hospital and was expected to be released tonight. >> we contacted the daycare and they told us "this is an unfortunate situation that occurred even with our policies that are in place. we have interviewed our staff, and we are reviewing our policies to make certain that this does not happen
