crashed. investigators are trying to figure out the cause. happening today, charlottesville's mayor is expected to call for the removal of the robert e. lee statue from his city's downtown today. organizers of last weekend's unite the right rally have -- charlottesville is also reporting that the mayor will call for a community meeting how to honor heather heyer who was killed when it turned violent. one calls for a memorial to replace the robert e. lee statue. it was chaos in spain. right now, police are trying to track down the person responsible for 13 deaths. >> this is a live picture now from the town of cambrils, where there's a second incident and several suspects were shot and killed. we're going back to the live desk for details. erika. >> a lot of numbers to break down for you. five

but the person they really want to find at this hour, the driver of the van that crashed into a crowd in barcelona. a towing crew took the vanna way overnight. police say the van targeted pedestrians on a busy tourist street. swerving left and right to hit as many people as possible. and in the town of camblils, two hours south of barcelona, six people were killed. they killed five suspect before the suicide bomb belts could go off. you are looking at that town right now. all is quiet there. >> isis claimed responsibility for inspiring these attacks. it's not clear if the group had a hand in planning them. back over to you guys. chopper 4 was over the scene at dulles international airport after a scare involving a suspicious white van. police evacuated part of the terminal yte

team surrounded a building. >> it turp out it was not what it seemed. somebody called them and claimed to be holding people hostage inside an apartment. bomb squads swarmed the building. they found a family with a child inside the apartment. the family had no idea what was going on. police spent nearly three hours searching the rest of the building but did not find anything. >> it was very scary to see. i guess all the people living here, therm very much upset, looking at the cops going around with the weapons. everybody was scared. >> police are still trying to figure out who made that false call and why. there is a term for false calls like this. it's called swatting. we're working with you to tell you about it. police say it's a crime and

charge of filing a false report. people who make bogus calls can face charges. celebrities and politicians have been victims of similar large and police say it strains their resources because it takes them away from real calls. news from the national park service. the vietnam veterans memorial is the latest landmark to be vandalized. a lipstick or crayon was used to deface the veterans. red wax covers the name. crews have been able to clean off the wax. the park service does not appear it's connected to the other vandalism cases on the national mall. now to a follow-up story about the lincoln memorial. it will need a few more power washing treatments to clean up the spray paint left behind on a pillar. they tweeted this

4:56. a tragedy in gym class sparked a lawsuit. a 14-year-old girl died after she had an asthma is tack in 2015. >> now, her mother says gaithersburg high school did not do enough to save her daughter. the news 4 i-team uncovered a lawsuit that said the teep asked to get her inhaler three times before the teacher let her go. she was allowed to leave, she wasn't escorted. it accuses the nursing staff of waiting to call 911. the school district has not commented on this case. the this weekend, you have another chance to get back -- there's free immunization clinics tomorrow. they're being held in greenbelt,
