that's the artillery that escalates. looking ahead, a lot of concern, major holiday in north korea, founder's day. a time when the north has conducted missile tests in the past warnings here that could be the day for yet another long range missile launch of some sort, nbc news, seoul south korea. president trump is reportedly ready to end the daca program for immigrants leaving thousands of young people -- living here. nearly 800,000 have benefited they must have entered the u.s. before turning age 16 and have no serious criminal background. they have cleared the way for them to obtain driver's licenses, work permits in some states to qualify for instate tuition. julie carey spoke

when he gave them six months. julie carey, news 4. tonight we're still talking about the terrible damage left behind by hurricane harvey. but now, irma is the storm to watch. she's once again category 4 hurricane. >> and doug, state of emergency. >> yeah. they put florida under a state of emergency. what that means no emergency right now, still about 5, 6 days away from any kind of land fall on the u.s. what that allows them to do is free up a lot of money to get ready just in case they do come across this hurricane. this hurricane right now is a big one. it's still way out in the atlantic ocean, getting close to the islands here. the u.s. virgin islands right here. they may take a direct hit. currently winds are 130 miles an hour. a category 4 hurricane moving to the west at about 13 miles an hour on that track it comes very close to the british virgin alands, close to puerto rico.

breaking news out of charles county maryland, where a man wanted in a deadly double shooting may have escaped in a boat. they' looking for brian pierce. they say he opened fire on two guys outside a home in port tobacco road in maryland. one man was killed, a second victim is in serious condition. deputies say they found pierce's car and think he may have made his getaway in a boat or another car. no word yet on a motive. and some breaking news from texas, tonight, the death tolls from hurricane harvey now stands at at least 60. it comes as some areas near beaumont, texas wait for the waters to recede. in houston the story is starting to now shift towards rebuilding. jay gray has the latest on the story from

day. we've seen a lot of those recently. tomorrow, none of that. sun and clouds warm, so looking pretty good tomorrow. now, we have to turn our attention down to the south. this is hurricane irma, still way away from the u.s., but getting closer and getting cloedser, still to the islands, these are the u.s. british virgin islands right here. these are the ones that take the biggest brunt from this storm. category 4 hurricane, winds of 130 miles per hour, moving to the west at 13 miles an hour on this track comes very close to the islands, very close to puerto rico. right now, it is staying to the north. notice, right now it's 130, they're expected to go to 145 miles per hour. that's an extremely strong storm, moving north, most likely, as it long as it stays north, it could stay strong category 4, that's what it's expected to do. notice it's close to

all the computer models, almost every single one of them takes them very close to cuba in this region, up towards parts of southeast, parts of the gulf of mexico. much better chance, now, of getting a u.s. land fall next week right around saturday or sunday. so this is something we're going to take precautions on, that's why the governor has put a state of emergency in for florida, north carolina all the way through the state of florida, a very good chance to get hit by this storm. we'll watch this very closely over the next couple of days. full forecast tomorrow, not bad at all. as i mentioned, pretty darn good. 86 degrees at 3:00 this afternoon. i'll be back in just a bit. more on that school day

north korea crisis. >> the second time in six days, the united nations security council met in the emergency session this time to address north korea's most powerful nuclear test yet. north korea claims to have detonated a two-stage bomb on sunday. now, it's true, the bomb was many times more powerful than those that drop off in world war ii. >> today south korea responded to the nuclear test with military exercises, the live fire drill involved fighter jets and ground forces launching ballistic missiles, it was meant to simulate an attack on north korea's main nuclear test site. the north appears to be planning another launch of ballistic missile in the near future. today, our ambassador, nick key hay lee, urged the u.n. security council to act before the time for diplomacy runs out. >> enough is enough. we mus n

the duchess has suffered acute morning sickness during both her pregnancies. it was so severe during her first, she had to be treated in the hospital. the news of new life follows last week's somber commemoration of the death of princess diana, 20 years ago. george turned four in july, charlotte was two, in may. the queen was carrying on an official engagement in scotland this morning is set to be delighted. the new baby means it's less likely that prince harry will become king. he moves down the line. he's out of the top four. when the baby will be born, probably late april, early may. we don't yet know if it's a boy or a girl. that hasn't stopped the crazy betting here on the gender and the name of the baby alice is in early favor, of course, if it's a girl. back to

we're done. you're under arrest. we're done. >> there's new fall out tonight after salt lake city police detective arrested a nurse and dragged her out of an emergency room. hospital security guard stood by and did nothing. the detective arrested the nurse because she refused to draw blood from an unconscious patient for them. she cited hospital policy that blood cannot be taken without patient consent or a warrant. that video prompted national backlash and the nurse tells nbc news, she hopes it brings about some change. >> this can't be happening. it should have never have happened. if i have anything to say about it, it won't ever happen about it again. >> it happened at the university of utah hospital. today the university police chief apologized because hospital security

no rain right now. look back to the west, we're tracking this frontal boundary we have a good chance for storm. this is the severe storm outlook tomorrow and the darker green, that's called a marginal risk for severe weather, a pretty good chance for strong to severe thunderstorms, north and west of washington during the day tomorrow. everybody else just a general risk of storm, the best chance will be at northern maryland zone. then we move down towards irma, watching irma. look at the eye, right there. a very well defined hurricane has been increasing the last time the submissions were in there, winds of 130 miles an hour moving to the west at 13 miles an hour and then eventually, now miami, southern florida in theh
