now back to work and school. everything is getting back on track. >> right. we're working for to you make the morning as smooth as possible. we have team coverage on the roads of course. let's begin with storm team 4 and the forecast. >> storm team 4 meteorologist sheena parveen is outside for us this morning. sheena, what are you recommending for this first day of school outfits? >> that's a good question, eun. i would recommend you can get away with the short sleeves. we have a comfortable breeze. many areas are around the upper 60s to low 70s. if you think it's cooler outside, maybe a light jacket. but i wouldn't even honestly recommend that. as we go through the day today, we'll be warming up into the 830s. temperatures across the area, upper 60s, low 70s. through the afternoon today, we are looking at temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. we have a thunderstorm chance but after the school day today. the storm chance won't be around until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. coming up, a closer look at the timing of

school. you can expect rallies like that in our area today as activists defend the program. the end of daca would likely not take effect until six months or so to get a fix. we turn to breaking news. two powerful leaders saying what they think needs to be done with north korea. >> we just heard from russia and germany. angie goff has more. >> leaders of both of those countries weighing in calling for diplomacy. vladimir putin warning against military hysteria and angela merkel saying there could only be quote, diplomatic and peaceful solution to the crisis. well calls for peaceful solution come on the heels of conducting a live fire training exercises and a show force to the north after the detonation of a hydrogen bomb. its most powerful nuclear test so far.

leaders. did they mention what they're doing in response to the latest tests? >> well, both russia and germany condemned the nuclear tests by the north. putin calling it a provocation and the u.n. security council had an emergency meeting yesterday. we know the u.s. called on the council to adopt the strongest diplomatic measures. it can against north korea. this is a story developing fast. we need to follow it. >> it's 5:08 right now. developing now, a manhunt in charles county. police are trying to track down the man they believe is behind a deadly double shooting. deputies say brian pierce shot two men outside of a home on port tobacco road yesterday afternoon. the second is in serious condition. deputies found pierce's car near a marina on friendship landing road. investigators are trying to figure out what led to the shooting. because of the

patrols will be out near mt. hope elementary school this morning. we are tracking hurricane irma this morning. take a look here. we want to give you a different perspective of this powerful storm as it heads toward land. hurricane hunters from the noaa flew through hurricane on sunday. you can see the camera jostling about here from all the turbulence. in just two days, irma has gotten stronger since this video was taken. it's now a category 4 hurricane. we want to turn to meteorologist lauryn ricketts with brand new information about irma's track on this. >> yeah. at 5:00 a.m., we've just gotten newest information. the storm -- this is the storm ha has come up a little bit to 150 miles an hour. so those winds are at 150 miles an hour. man, look at that eye right there. you can see it. that definitely got more well-defined over the last 48 hours. let me show you the newest track

very busy commute. let's go to angie goff at the live desk. >> we have this developing story we continue to follow out of ohio. the latest update on a newspaper photographer who just had surgery after he was shot by a deputy. now, the ohio paper, we want to take you to facebook right now. that's where we got the latest update. this ohio paper, they've been touched with this guy named andy grimm. he's a photographer. he's very sore but fine, should be released from the hospital tomorrow. it included a message for them not to mean mouth the deputy. grimm had a camera in his hand and tripod. he stopped to take pictures at a traffic stop. that's when the deputy mistook it for a weapon and fired. the photographer was struck in his side and as i mentioned, he had surgery. he is going to be okay. the photographer also saying this morning that he actually knows the officer and doesn't wantim

aaron, back to you. >> it's 5:17 now. in complete shock at an 80th birthday party. a car drove into a crowd of people celebrating in the street there. they're all supposed to get better. eight people we know, including a pregnant woman, had to go to the hospital. one person said it looked like a massacre. some of the people in the street were older and couldn't get out of the way. signs and food scattered everywhere. the woman behind the wheel will be charged with dui. then walk. >> it is the video that people have been talking about for days now. you've probably seen it. it is the controversial arrest of a utah nurse after she says she refuse today draw blood from an unconscious patient. hospital officials announce new restrictions on what police are allowed to do in that facility. the hospital will no longer allow police to interact directly with mal

here's what you need to know about the program. nearly 800,000 young undocumented immigrants benefited from the program since it was created five years ago. they must have entered the u.s. before turning 16 and have no serious criminal background. the program has cleared the way for them to obtain driver's licenses and qualify for instate tuition. tracie potts is following the story on capitol hill. what is the white house's thinking on potentially tending daca. >> between a rock and a marred place. the president sent out mixed messages saying dreamers, the children, in many cases adults brought here as children don't need to worry. while he's also getting pressure from nine states who say they'll sue if he doesn't get rid of the program. so what we're hearing is that announcement coming out of the justice department now in just a matter of hours at 11:00

morning. the president wants to roll back this obama-era order. >> tracie, we know that part of the plan includes a six-month delay before it takes effect, give congress time to work on a fix. any indication that they can come together to craft plain before that deadline? >> it's like what we see time after time when congress tries to deal with comprehensive immigration reform. it tends to fall apart. there's deep divisions here. even now amongst republicans. you have conservative republicans saying you've got to get rid of this and stick with the rule of law and others like house speaker paul ryan, an influence republican here saying dumping daca isn't the way to go. the president needs to find another alternative. even within the party there's conflict about what to do. >> tracie potts live on capitol hill for us. tracie, thank you. meantime, a young maryland soccer star and his brother are on the move after being deported to
