reschedule later this season. voting for hurricane harvey victims could be approved. they're debating emergency funding for victims. the vote happens around noon. fema says they need money right away, they could run out of funds by friday. giants from the entertainment world come together to benefit hurricane victims in texas next week. george clooney, jamie foxx, beyonce, julia roberts and others will participate in hand in hand, benefit for hurricane harvey relief. watch tuesday at 8:00 here on nbc 4. president trump is headed to north dakota. the north dakota senator expected to face a tough election battle next year. activists marching charlottesville to d.c. reach their final destination today. they say they're protesting the

developing this morning, an f-16 pilot dead after a jet crashed in arizona. that jet is attached to the arizona air national guard 162nd wing. it is the air guard's biggest training operation, and this is the second crash since 2015. u.s. air force activated a team to investigate the crash. someone getting put in handcuffs and thrown in the back of a police cruiser usually means they have to stay put. >> not so much this time. you have to see this video from texas. take a look. you can see that shoplifting suspect take off the seat belt, slip her hands out of handcuffs, plays it cool for a second, climbs into the front seat and took off in the police suv. the officer was going through her bag when she started to drive away. the woman led police on a 20 minute chase before she lost control of that cruiser. right now, she's facing a half dozen charges. >> i bet more are coming. af

watching wind speeds up to 180 miles per hour. that makes it a category five hurricane. last time we had wind speeds of that in 1980, got up to 190. in terms of intensity, this is the most intense hurricane that the atlantic has seen in history. it will continue to scoot north to hispaniola, north of cuba. this is cuba here as cat four. water surface temperatures are in the upper 80s. look at the trend. it shifted, now moving through central florida as it makes landfall. coming across the florida strait and the keys. this could move 175 to 225 miles. don't pay attention to the exact track, the cone, but it is shifting to the east. we have to watch for the next update before 11:00. right now, let's get jack taylor to update you on traffic. hey we have an issue top side of the inner loop toward new hampshire avenue. lanes wer

what you're seeing is the check in line. team members got back from texas last night. redeployment announcement was made by fema. they have been activated, expect to leave at 10:00 this morning. if you want to show video in the last hour, they were loading up trucks, getting gasoline ready, getting boats ready once again to head down south. for right now, they say they're being deployed to alabama, maxwell air force base. but that could change. they want to get the assets down there to the south because we're trying to figure out exactly the path this will take. you mention that they just got back from texas last night. what i'm being told, 80 people will be deployed in this mission, only two of them were there in texas. so they're able to rotate people so those folks get some rest. also, there's another team could be on stand biy as well to travl internationally. let's hear from one of

truck. people are trying to take advantage of availability of gas because they know going forward as we move into the end of the week as irma approaches that things will certainly change. let me show you something else. the headlights, northbound on the overseas highway, close to 100 mile drive from key west to the main land. people are making that trip north. haven't seen many problems. that's a good thing. talked to a sheriff deputy that said yesterday afternoon rush hour traffic was an absolute mess. that's what they're hoping to avoid. they're asking people to hit the road early to get to the main land. part of the reason is monroe county in the keys will not open shelters for a storm greater than category two. irma is a strong category five. that renders shelters useless. everyone must now seek shelter on the main land of south florida. aaron, eun? >> thank you,ul
