already in puerto rico, they tweeted this picture to let everyone know they're safe and red to work. gabe gutierrezer easy is on the ground in san juan. >> we started in a hotel on a upper floor and had to evacuate that floor when things got -- when the winds got so strong, that room took in water. we went down stairs and were able to keep broadcasting but communications here are difficult. most cell phone towers aren't working. we ran into residents who described a horrific scene, roofs blown off, parts of buildings collapsed. no number for dead or injured. many people are stunned. this is the strongest storm to slam into puerto rico in a century. back

jose which continues to just spin out there off to the east. it is moving farther south and east. that is some good news for boston, lot of trees down in parts of new eveningland. we've been showing you a track over the last couple days. it doesn't go anywhere. winds moving at 60, moves out, moves back. today is wednesday. this is where it is on sunday night, just not going anywhere and because it stays here, it actually helps maria to stay away from the coast line. that is very good news for us. here is maria, had a very defined eye on its way in, on its way out lost the eye, now starting to get it back. may try to strengthen and they have it coming back to a category 3, still producing extremely heavy rainfall in dom incan

most area rivers are trouble record flood stage from what i've seen. maria with winds of 110 miles an hour moving north west at 9 miles an hour. watch off the coast of the bahamas, gets back to category 3 status, fry at 115 miles an hour, minimal 103, turks and caicos should be okay from this one. up and away from the northeast. before, the track was coming a little closer, the cone of uncertainty was closer to north carolina, now it's off the coast here. this storm may move fast enough, i want to show you what's happening, we have jose and maria. watch what happens when maria gets up to this area. we start to see the influence here from both storms on each other. because jose is still here, maria can't move up. what it does, it may send jose into parts of the
