toughest economic sanctions yet on north korea. china also took steps to financially cripple the regime. the war of words between the u.s. and north korea includes name-calling. we told you president trump labeled kim jong-un rocketman. the north korean leader responded by calling mr. trump a dotard. specifically, it refers to somebody who is going senile. m merriam-webster says it was first used to mean imbacile. hurricane maria has left puerto rico. it also left many, many problems there. >> nearly all of the u.s. territories, 3.5 million residents are without electricity. this is something that's expected to last for months after maria ripped apart the island's entireer

puerto rico may be running off of generators for half a year. president trump has approved a federal disaster declaration for puerto rico. rescue continues in mexico four days after the major earthquake. we are learning the rescue mission that captured the world's attention wasn't real. rescuers had been searching through rubble at a collapsed school for a 12-year-old girl. crews had said they spoke with the girl and saw her wriggle her fingers. that girl never existed. they say overexhausted workers were mistaken. want to take you live to the rescue mission happening in mexico city at this hour. what you see here used to be the sight of a textile factory. 21 people have been found dead in the rubble here. rescuers believe there could be survivors. you see so many of them gathered in their hard

we do know that at least 273 people have died and 1900 people have been hurt. >> you see the assembly of so many workers and people off the streets who are trying to desperately searched for any people that might have survived. very tough situation there. >> she had just made it home from school and was unlocking the door when two men grabbed her from behind in frederick, maryland. >> a girl was kidnapped and raped earlier this month in maryland. two people are behind bars. a third suspect is still on the loose. chris lawrence is here to tell us why frederick police are looking through everyone's cell phones to find this information. >> detectives say he shot video of the other two raping her possibly on his cell phone. i just retweeted information from the police. they suspect three young men planned the atalk and talked about it on social media. edgar chicaz hernandez and victor gonzalez

behind bars. one is 17 years old, the other 19. police say they went to the same high school as the victim. she told investigators, they hit her, dragged her to a car and kidnapped her. the victim says she took her back home a few hours later and warned her not to report it to anyone. aaron? >> chris lawrence in the newsroom for us. so many of you have been talking online about that startling story of a local massour accused of sexually abusing customers. the suspect is hatamu gavaslasi. he was in court and declined a plea agreement. more victims have come forward. one of the victims says she was touched appropriately at a message business on "p" street. three other women say they were sexually assaulted at two massage envy locations, one in tinley town and the other in buoy. he is behind bars and will be back in court next month. it seems like we are alway

traffic, specially in our area where traffic is really bad. the question is whether you would be willing to pay for it. >> there is a new plan from maryland governor, larry hogan, that would mean new toll lanes. what this would mean for your drive. >> megan, hey, guys, how much is it worth to you to stay out of traffic? would you be willing to pay for toll lanes. the governor of maryland hopes so. he is suggesting a number of changes on three major highways adding these toll lanes. we are cruising along on the beltway on the outer loop in largo. still, pretty early. the volume is good. all of that is going to change. the gridlock just around the corner here this morning as it is every morning and now this plan calls for four new lanes, two in each direction, along three major highways. we are talking the maryland

tolingfollowing a developiny in st. louis. hundreds of protesters in the streets last night. they are rallying after a former police officer was acquitted in the death of a black man in that area. these protests were happening right outside a billy joel concert. we know some recent concerts by ed sheeran and u 2 have been canceled because of on going demonstrations in st. louis. facebook is jumping into the russia investigation. >> russians trying to meddle in the 2016 presidential elections may have tried to sway your opinion on facebook. an internal facebook investigation found a suspected russian operation spent $100,000 on political ads between june of 2015 and may of 2017. mark zuckerberg says the company is turning over the relevant information to congress and special council,

dropped on japan. they are not even in the same conversation. >> chris lawrence, thank you. it is 6:48. two people are behind bars accused of kidnapping and rapin their classmate. they have charged victor gonzalez gutierrez and edward chico hernandez with rape. they assaulted the victim while a third man filmed it. the third suspect is still on the loose. happening today, maryland lobbyists will appear in court on a federal bribery charge. matthew gorman is accused of giving former state delegate, william campos, at least $1,000 for action on official matters. campos also pled guilty in january to accepting thousands of dollars from people while on the prince george's county council. the people have been charged including former delegate, michael vaughn, of prince george's county. tolls could be coming to a highway near you. >> maryland's goverr

thinks it could ease congestion on three major roads in the state. megan mcgrath shows what it could mean for you. >> would you be willing to pay money to stay out of traffic? the governor of maryland hopes so. he is proposing toll lanes on three major highways. not too bad. congestion is going to start to build here. under this plan, the governor would add four new lanes, two in each direction, on the beltway, on i-270 and on the bw parkway. quite a few lanes. however, you would have to pay for them. critics say we shouldn't be building more lanes. we should be working on getting people off the roads an on to public transportation. the governor does not agree. he is moving forward with the project. he thinks it is going to help the congestion. it all goes as he plans, he would like to see construction start in 2019. back to you guys. >> thanks to megan mcgrath. we are marking the historic
