exposing himself and touching women. rocket man should have been handled a long time ago. tonight we know where a group of first responders from montgomery county is going to help the victims of hurricane maria. right now maryland task force one is on its way to puerto rico and the situation there still very dangerous. the group boarded a air force cargo vessel. they'll join first responders from virginia already in the caribbean helping people recover from this hurricane season. tonight authorities are scrambling to get 70,000 people who are downstream from a

failing dam to evacuate. meantime communications are still out across most of the island and that makes this evacuation very difficult. it could take weeks even months to restore the power in puerto rico. hurricane maria's torrential rain drenched puerto rico leaving towns under water and swelling reservoirs. >> everybody okay in that house? >> in san juan the mayor waded through flooded streets with a bull horn, calling out to stranded residents. in a terrible irony a island drowning in rain water is short of drinking water. people lining up collecting stream water from pipes on a hillside. the water shortage blamed on puerto rico's power crisis. millions spending another night in the dark. contractors brought

four years, we had snow fall in the last weeks of september. that was tough. 74 degrees right now, calm winds, a nice night across the region. a little humid. we're on the mild side for this time of year. we're going to continue to be. take a look at maria. over the last couple frames starting to look a little better again, a little stronger. latest advisory has winds of 125 miles an hour, finally moving away from the turks and caicos, very good cues after battering the islands again. they did not get the strongest winds but saw hurricane force winds again. with hurricane maria they may be dealing with problems again. very low lying islands again. hopefully the storm surge wasn't a huge issue. take a look at the track. we talk about the cone of

here. but then notice how it gets really wide by monday. that's because some of the computer models trying to take it farther east, some farther west, the outer banks area. most of them then take it out to sea. i'm not worried about this coming our way but we will continue to watch it because we have a lot of time to do it. this will be next wednesday 75 miles per hour category 1 storm. we've been watching jose for weeks now, almost three weeks with this system. it's still spinning out here but it's beginning to weaken. we'll take it back 12 hours. watch the cloud come from the atlantic, right across our region, that's why we had the clouds today. no clouds tomorrow. 77 degrees at 8 pm. i i assume jim's going there early tomorrow morning. i think he's
