vice president mike pence walked out of an nfl game today before kick off in the ongoing national anthem controversy. the vice president was in indianapolis for the colts game against the san francisco 49ers. he left the game after several 49ers kneeled during the national anthem. in a tweet the vice president said he would quote, not dig fie any event that disrespects our shoulders, flag or national anthem. president trump also tweeted, claiming that he asked the vice president to leave if any of the players kneeled. a cbs reporter clarifying a report after he claim colin kaepernick would stand further national anthem if he played in the game again. a series of tweets today said he was actually talking about interview that he had with

kaepernick a while back and this was not a current -- current information. kaepernick left the 49ers at the end of the season last year, he's not been picked up by another team. there are new pictures in the newsroom tonight that show a couple accused of going on a robbery spree this morning. the suspects had a knife and assaulted the victims. here's a picture that the police sent out. the first robbery was after 5:00 in the morning. this was on 15th street in northwest near r street. less than an hour later they struck again on monroe street in southwest d.c. around 7:15 this morning they targeted a woman about a half mile away on quincy street. two of these robberies they took off in a dark colored car. new deals on a tragic plane crash in virginia.
