anthem. movie mogul harvey weinstein is out. what we're learning about his firing after a slew of sexual harassment claims. as sheena mentioned, what was hurricane nate headed our way. another look at what to expect as well as the cleanup under way in the south after the storm hit over the weekend. now to a list of demands to could derail what is shielding thousands from deportation. >> overnight, a set of priorities that they're saying must be included to extend the daca program. news 4's aimee cho is live near the white house with those demand and what they mean for d.r.e.a.m.ers in our area. >> reporter: molette, good morning. that list of demands put out last night could turn out to be a deal breaker. first up on that list, building the border wall. this is a change in tone for the

couple weeks ago. president trump hinted that he may not push for the wall. as of last night, puts it back on the table much also on the list of demands, overhauling the green card system and cracking down on unaccompanied minors entering the country. all these aimed to curb immigration. democrats indicating they won't even consider giving in to these demands. last night, chuck schumer and nancy pelosi putting out a statement saying the administration can't be serious. if congress can't reach some sort of agreement on daca, this could put about 300,000 d.r.e.a.m.ers at risk. now to a story that has people talking. vice president pence walking out of yesterday's indianapolis colts game when some players took a knee during the national anthem.

anthem played that the vice president left the game. the decision to walk out was planned ahead of time. the vice president defended his decision tweeting that he left because he and president trump will not dignify any event that disrespects our flag or our soldiers. he went on to say he didn't think it was too much to ask them to respect the flag and our national anthem. president trump weighed in saying he asked pence to leave if any players kneeled. one player said it was a pr stunt. >> last time he's been to a colts game is three years ago. this looks like a pr stunt to me. i' he knew we would probably do it again. >> an official for the vice president says pence was hopeful

all of the players would stand. he was governor of indiana before he became vice president. a man is out of a job. harvey weinstein has been fired by his own company. the cover of the new york daily news seems to say it all there. harv heaved. he was terminated by the weinstein company which he co-founded with his brother. several women, including ashley judd, accused weinstein of sexual misconduct and harassment in a recent new york times article. in a statement to the times, weinstein apologized for his behavior. this is video now of a car on fire. d.c. firefighters trying to put out those flames. what you can't see in the images is how they cut off the roof of that car to haul two people out. the people are now in critical condition. d.c. police say the car was speeding downhill crest drive southeast last night. the driver lost

that's when it burst into flames. a man living nearby heard what sounded like an explosion. >> i was in the kitchen. i heard this huge, like, bomb, bang sound. came outside. there was like three more pops like that. there were -- the woods were on fire. >> a third person was injured. they're investigating whether the car was stolen because it was missing license plates. right now a 73-year-old mother and her 50-year-old daughter are missing. arlene grant and her mother marie grant were last seen saturday at a family party. montgomery county police say arlene has contacted family members via text. but has not provided information about her and her mother's whereabouts. police are worried about their emotional and physical welfare. if you see either woman, please call police. major changes on the ware for a metro

some of you might use it every day. >> adam tuss is live at the carrollton station with what riders can expect. >> reporter: well, eun, a lot of people want to live, work, play around the place they take the transportation. here, not only do you have metro, you have amtrak and take a look at all of the space that's here at the new carrollton station. this is something that metro is really getting into. there was just a groundbreaking ceremony here for a new headquarters for kaiser permanente, which is going to build a new building here. take a look at this picture here of a whole buildout of the new carrollton metrotation which is anticipated to happen over the next 20-plus years. we're talking about tons of housing and retail and office space that's coming here around new carrollton. it's expected to happen in the coming months and years. now, this is something that metro is really focused on. they have a lot of land around stations that they think they can

morning, we are in weather alert mode. take a look at storm team 4 radar, as well as a live picture from the district this morning. a lot of commuters are going to see rain and wind this morning. sheena parveen will have a closer look at the timing of it all in just a few minutes. now, tracking nate. those were the sights and sounds as nate tore through the gulf coast this weekend. the storm is now a tropical depression. look at all that flooding there. as you can see, flooding and storm surge were the big problems. this morning, people along the gulf coast are cleaning up all the damage it left behind. well, there was a lot of wind and water. most residents who lived through katrina said things could have been a lot worse. i think they're glad to

a single vehicle crash. traffic will have to alternate by one direction at a time under police direction until this vehicle is removed. you'll find activity in la plata closing hawthorne, 225 near miller hill road. this was an overnight crash with investigation. you'll also find in southeast, closure minnesota avenue at randle circle. this crash had pole and wires down. the trump administration sent a list to congress overnight highlighting what it wants in exchange for an extension to the deferred action for childhood arrivals or the daca program. news 4's tracie potts is live on capitol hill. tracie, how do these priorities fit in with president trump's overall immigration stance? >> well, molette, now we know what his overall agenda is. democrats are saying it's simply not going to work.

he took to congress overnight is the wall. a few weeks ago he sat down with democrats behind closed doors and they came out with the impression that he would not immediately be pursuing the wall or funding for the wall while they try to figure out the situation for these young immigrants. but overnight, the president made it clear that he won't sign off on, he won't support any measure for these young immigrants who came here ille l illegally to stay unless they fully fund the wall. as he put it in the letter, make sure it's built and completed. this is the opposite of what they thought the president was going to do. as these young immigrants continue to march and rally for support to stay here legally, this really sets up for a big fight between the white house and congress over how to deal with it. >> tracie potts live on capitol hill for us. tracie, thank you. now to our other top stories.

developed and, in turn, attract more riders. look, we have a couple of renderring what it could look like, the full buildout at the new carrollton station. you're talking about lots of buildings that could pop up around this super busy metro station. over 1,000 new residential units. kaiser permanente just broke ground on a new office here. that's going to anchor part of the new carrollton redevelopment project. you could potentially have a new hotel in the area, lots of ground floor retail. again, guys, this is what metro is trying to do to think about ways to sell some of its assets. a long time ago, metro bought a lot of land around the metro stations, which is a smart move. they can actually sell that off to developers, happy to have redevelopment happen around the stations and, in turn, attract new riders. that's what we're starting to see here in new carrollton and other metro stations like college park and grosvenor as well, guys. back to you.

it is video that is making the rounds on social media. you can imagine why. take a look at angry man. he clings to the hood of a school bus as it drives down the road in baltimore county. you can hear in the background, some of the kids were scared. they didn't know what was going on. >> they didn't. we now know the story. the man on the mohood is lavern durand. he was upset because someone on the bus threw a bottle out the window and it hit his car. >> durand wanted the bus driver to stop and open the door so he could confront the child who threw the bottle. the bus driver was scared for the students' safety and instead drove to the police station. >> the man faces several charges here. >> none of the students on the bus was hurtment you can imagine the driver in the situation, the presence much mind he had to drive slowly enough to not injure the man clinging to the front but get the kids to
