to the hospital. he is in critical condition. take a look at the house here. it looks terrible. we pulled up and i thought just, wow. these are members of the fire marshall's office as well as the fire department. they are here. they're cleaning up. they're also trying to figure out exactly how the fire started. so here's what we can tell you. three people were home when the fire began. two of them were able to get out of the house. they told firefighters when they got here that there was a third person, another man inside of the house in a bedroom on the upstairs. firefighters put up a ladder. they were able to climb and go in and rescue, pull out that third person. three people in the house. we're told they're all roommates and renting. fire department tweeted out a couple of pictures this morning. one of them shows just how raging this fire was. it looks like really just a

a disturbing allegation against a karate instructor in gaithersburg. frank pugarida is charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old student. detectives say there may be more victims. they want parents to speak to their kids to see if there was any inappropriate contact with him. teachers convicted of crimes against students but their licenses not revoked. news 4 iteam investigation is raising some questions about how education officials handle cases of sexual misconduct by teachers in d.c. and whether it's putting kids all around the dmv at risk. here's iteam's scott mcfarland. >> reporter: if a teacher admits sexually assaulting a student, his or her license is revoked and his or her name is added to a national database to red flag. washington d.c. education officials aren't doing it. we found several teachers who
