morning. montgomery county police have now released new information about a crash that killed two people overnight. chopper 4 was over the scene on democracy boulevard in potomac. we're told the crash happened around 11:30 last night. man and a woman died. police identified the driver as 30-year-old kent brooks. the audi they were in ran offer the road. police are looking for witnesses. if you saw anything you're asking to call montgomery county police. police say a wreckless driver put a montgomery county police officer in the hospital. >> they are trying to track down whoever slammed into a police car and took off. i want to show you a bit of video from the scene of the hit and run investigation. this shut down southbound new hampshi hampshire avenue. the crash seriously injured a police officer but she is expected to survive. two police officers were hurt after crashing into

career criminal shot five coworkers with a handgun at this maryland business park. killing three and leaving two in critical condition. >> i have a 40ish-year-old man with a gunshot to the head. >> reporter: prince worked at the company for the last four months as a machine operator and knew the victims. so far investigators say they don't have a clear motive. police say prince fled to delaware where he shot another person he knew at a used car lot. >> the victims and defendant knew each other. these were targeted shootings. >> reporter: driving a 2008 black gmc acadia, police chased the suspect but lost them. police found his car near a local high school. after a short foot pursuit prince was in custody. police say he

this morning to a very bizarre robbery scheme that's going on in our area. >> a man suspected of stealing from coin operated vacuum cleaners taken into custody. surveillance video has shown a guy targeting machines, gas stations all over the washington region. pat collins brought you this story first on news 4 and has an update from fairfax. >> now we can say his name. now we can show his picture. the suspect in the coin vacuum caper locked up. the suspect identified is 41-year-old james jackson from elk ridge, maryland. now wanted in fair fax county in connection with a number of coin thefts from car vacuums here. he's said to be the subject of other investigations in other states as well. sources say surveillance cameras at a number of stations caught man using special
