27 minutes after 7:00 a.m. for sunrise. we'll take a look at the marine corps forecast coming up. d.c. police investigating a fatal shooting. >> you're looking at the scene in the anacostia neighborhood, near u and 16th streets in southeast before 11:00 last night. a woman lost her life, and another man shot is expected to survive. as soon as we get more information, we'll update you. this morning, a teenager, a boy, is recovering after being shot simply while walking home from dunbar high school. d.c. police looking for who shot the 16-year-old on friday afternoon in northeast. we're told the suspected shooter was a man wearing all black. he left the scene in a black car with another person. police tweeting out a dark gray or black honda with virginia license platesay

there was a man found with a semiautomatic handgun. i believe we have some video of the man being arrested. it is important to note that police say he was not connected to the shooting. incredible story here. a man seriously hurt after falling more than 40 feet on to rocks. this happened in great falls, virginia. fairfax county fire and rescue called to the scene around 6:00 last night. they tell us the man had to be air lifted to fairfax hospital. we still don't know what exactly caused the man to fall. officials are looking into whether he was hiking or rock climbing at the time. police believe that they do have the man they feel is responsible for an ied explosion in colonial williamsburg, 30-year-old powers arrested and charged with possessing and using an explosive device. witnesses called 911 thursday night to report a fire. police found an explosive next

for two crew members after this explosion. you can see it was massive. it was on an oil barge early friday morning off corpus christi. the fire is out, but officials are continuing to monitor this. as far as the air is concerned, it was check and there are no threats to people living in the area. officials are trying to contain any oil spilled in the explosion. people have lost practically everything in the wildfires. a sonoma couple found a glimmer of hope from an engagement ring. the couple went back to their house after the fire blew threw their neighborhood. the box with monica's engagement ring actually made it through. >> when i opened it, it was j

>> shelane lost her battle to post partum depression. it was an honor to speak to her husband, talking about their family and how co-workers are making sure other women who are suffering find the help they need. the lieutenant is familiar with speaking in front of cameras. he spoke as the police's spokesperson. despite his warm, pleasant de demean demeanor, a painful past. >> for a year, i shut myself in the room. i couldn't look at my kids because they reminded me of her. >> detective gaydos, a warm smile and big heart. >> she was bigger than human. i don't even -- she's almost like a legend to me. it's

and i still can't believe i was married to this woman. >> in late may 2015, brian and shelane expecting their fourth child. >> i got four girls, and maybe this was the boy. i would have been happy either way because i love my girls. >> the couple suffered a miscarria miscarriage. shelane fell into post partum depression, saying things out of character. >> she said, i have a feeling people are after you. i should have put up a huge red flag. i was like, what are you talking about? who is after me? it made no sense, you know. >> on june 12th, 2015, she took her own life. brian got the call while headed home from work. >> i've never felt that dead inside before. >> he prayed for his own death until family convinced him to get help, which he's done, despite the stigma surrounding mental health. >> you're a police officer. you can't be on medication, this and that. number one, we see things that most people don't see

football player is expected in court this morning. >> local singer omar roger shot and killed earlier this month in southeast d.c. here you see him with his younger brother, a freshman wide receiver at virginia tech, and a former star wide receiver at wilson high school in northwest. police arresting michael jones on friday, charging him with first degree murder. rogers, just 25 years old. at 6:33, new details about that shooting rampage at granite company in edgewood, maryland. witnesses say the shooter, radee prince, rounded up a small group of co-workers, telling them he had something to say to them. without saying another word, he opened fire. three people died. two others are in critical condition. prince then took off for delaware, where he is accused of shooting and hurting another person he knew. he was arrested after a ten-hour manhunt. family and friends gathered last night at

sweetening that may not have a significant link to weight loss. firing back at the legal claims, the american beverage association on behalf of the industry says, quote, diet beverages that contain zero or barely any calories at all have repeatedly been shown to help people manage their diet. a lot of back and forth there. 6:46. a los angeles judge dismissed another lawsuit against johnson & johnson. the decision comes after a woman claimed the company's baby powder contributed to her ovarian cancer diagnosis. on friday, the judge said that there were errors in the previous case that resulted in a $417 million award. prosecutors accuse johnson and jo johnson of not telling customers about the risk of cancer with talcum powder. this has been the second lawsuit reversed by a judge. a court showing out an award on tuesday.
