from our news 4 traffic camera. i-95 south, before route 100, has been closed here. you can see the huge pileup of cars there. everybody on the bus made it out okay. and there were no injuries. but some people are being evaluated for smoke inhalation. good evening. thanks for joining us tonight. i'm erika gonzalez. hundreds of residents in montgomery county are not sure where they will be sleeping tonight. they have been displaced by a fire in their high-rise. the building has no water and elevators aren't working. it has been especially difficult for the many seniors who live there.

know what led up to that gunfire. >> right now an explosive new report by the "new york times" that fox news gave former host bill o'reilly a $25 million contract after he agreed on a sexual misconduct settlement with a former colleague. the $32 million settlement alleges o'reilly force saided her into a nonconsensual sexual relationship and sent her sexually explicit material. nbc news has not independently verified the story. o'reilly lost his job at fox in april after the "times" reported other women had accused him of sexual harassment or verbal abuse. a spokesperson for o'reilly said in part today, the $32 million leak is obviously designed to kill his chances of getting a new tv job.

an early morning chase and crash in charles county, maryland has left three people dead. that chase ended on maryland route 925 near billingsley road. we have live reaction from one of the victim's uncles. darcy? >> reporter: erika, a short time ago i was able to speak to the uncle of one of the passengers who died in the crash. let's show you where we are. this is 301 behind us in wa waldorf. this is a tree where the car came to a rest. people have already begun to place flowers here in memory of the victims. he had just graduated from an adult education program on thursday. he was a passenger in the honda civic that crashed here. his unc s
