temperatures. >> the two of us we like the warm weather. he's had the gloves on and been covering the marathon for us this morning. >> he has the scarves, he has the gloves but i talked smack but i would be just as bundled. let's get outside right now to aaron. he is continuing our coverage live from the finish line, hey aaron. >> he's off some layers. he shedded a few. >> i did. because i felt like a wimp. so much excitement in the finish line. as we look at these folks they're tired. they just ran the 10k. these are the 10k finishers and they're exhausted in a lot of cases but the sense of accomplishment is also very

having run this and finished. we were able to see the 10k, the wheelchair and hand race participants as well as the marathon runners take off. everybody took off a little bit late this morning. there was an issue with something on the course so they had to start a few minutes late but tens of thousands of people were able to peel out of the start this morning in beautiful fashion and now we're able to introduce you to the folks who won the 10k race and we're able to speak with the female and male first place finishers a few minutes ago. >> it's awesome. i would give those that organized the race a 100. >> it was fun. it was hard to run piano myself for the whole race but i was able to practice being tough by myself so

>> local girl does well with finishing first for the females in the 10k. you're looking at video now of folks stepping off earlier this morning. i believe you're seeing some of the marathon runners as well as the wheelchair and hand cycle participants as well and they're all headed here to the finish line near the memorial here in arlington. everybody finishing up this morning. 10k runners finishing now. we expect that the hand cycle and wheelchair finishers will start coming through here probably in the next 15 or 20 minutes or so and then those fast marathon runners will start coming through here as well. we'll move down to try to get a better vantage point so we can grab the winners as soon as they come off the course. >> i'm

made it from the start line to the finish line without breaking a sweat. you are impressive. >> listen i'm not going to lie. i ran through the woods here. we just got to cut through the course. no, they drove us over here. >> of course. you took your uber over there i'm sure. >> thanks, man. >> all right. so the 42nd marathon as we have seen is officially underway but what does that mean for folks trying to drive out there? >> a headache. >> derek ward is out there live for us. a headache with the road closures maybe. >> not so much here at wisconsin. it's kind of a tale of two georgetowns. take a look. this is the relatively normal georgetown with traffic coming down wisconsin avenue but georgetown has essentially been a tour bus and a snowplow put to good use this time of the year. take a good look and this is the reason why. the runners are coming right through georgetown. they'r

avenue here at m and we saw some of the cyclists come through and they were letting people cross the avenue. they had to do their own marathon to get across between them but now that's no longer the case. you can see the crime scene tape up there. they're keeping people off here but people are taking this opportunity to come here to cheer for folks that are running and take a look. we have a map of the road blocks that are in place. most of them in place at about 5:00 a.m. and they're going to be in place until 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. maybe a little bit later since the race got started a little later but essentially that's the case. people are used to it. we're not seeing much of a problem here. people are enjoying it. it's a matter of getting from one side to the other. it's a challenge for a lot of folks but pig time here in georgetown. usually busy. busy in a different kind of way

all right sorry about that. so, yeah, you guys -- i'll borrow megan's mic. perfect day out there today. a lot of clouds around for your monday. clouds are going to continue to pile in as we go through the afternoon. now rain, rain is headed our way but not until tuesday. so we could have some rain showers and much needed rain showers headed our way. current temperatures out there right now we're in the 50s. we're up to 57 degrees so we continue to warm up so for the finish line forecast temperatures will be in the low 70s for that finish line so if you're still planning to head down there as a spectator it's going to be beautiful but as a runner it's going to be on the warm side but plenty of sunshine out there. if and if you're like me, maybe you're headed to brunch, there we go, temperatures will be in the 70s right now for this afternoon for brunch. nothing happening on the storm team 4 radar but we do hav

that frontal system is bringing a lot of rain and cooler air to portions of the midwest so if you're headed out the door you're not going to need the umbrella because that rain in the midwest is not going to arrive here until late tomorrow night. maybe a light jacket and sunglasses and a short sleeve shirt. by tomorrow morning temperatures will be right around 60 and notice it's just a little warmer than what we're experiencing this morning mainly because we're going to have the cloud cover in place from that front. we're still headed into the upper 70s despite the cloud cover. rain after about 10:00 p.m.. so again, here we go, 10:00 p.m. on monday. a few showers moving in. here comes that front. we won't have some heavier rain at times on tuesday morning around for the commute and around for the bus stop. so plan ahead for that. that's only on tuesday and then look at this by the time we get into wednesday and thursday behind that front temperatures drop. it will be breezy on tuesday but again it's not looking too

marathon lead runner just crossed the 15 mile mark so he or she is well on their way to this area. we also learned that the winner of the 10k, the female winner of the 10k, bethany and i'm not going to butcher her last name, actually set a new record for the 10k race for women. 34 minutes and 7 seconds so a big congratulations in her. we also managed to talk to the winner of the wheelchair bike hand cycle race as well a few minutes ago. hear what he had to say about finishing this marathon for the third

>> meantime headlines now. we'll take you to howard county where we have new details on a commercial bus fire. shutdown part of i-95 last night. police say there were 40 people on a college bus when it went up in flames. officers say there was an engine failure. everybody did get off the bus without any serious injuries but medics had to go in there and check a few people out for smoke inhalation. >> police hope they can one day give a family closure

a 19-year-old man was struck and killed by a car this happened yesterday morning. he died at the hospital and the driver did stay on the scene. >> disturbing numbers just out. there were 285 cases in 2016. you compare that to 203 the year before and 11 of the reports involved a reference to donald trump. >> they're doing some clean up in this part and they work quickly. the marines working hard not only in service to our country but when it comes to this event and making sure that it runs out without a hitch. they're meticulous

we're warming up today and we will continue to see blue skies for today and then clouds roll in overnight. temperatures overnight not going to be quite as cool as the past few nights because we have the clouds to insulate us. rain is heading here soon but not until tuesday. a look at the temperatures right now in the 50s. everybody is in the 50s right now and it's going to continue to warm up. here's the stretch where it gets too warm but plenty of sunshine. the humidity is low so that's good news compared to the army ten miler. it was cloudy and humid and warm. a short s
