another attempted sexual assault. neighbors are concerned about a playground nearby and a suspect who is still out there. and protesting the president. the man who raised serious security concerns today at the capitol now free and speaking out. and that breaking news just in from arlington tonight. the man wanted for killing another man at a house party earlier this year is in custody tonight. this is jason alan johnson. arlington police tell us he was caught in new york but no details yet about how. police say johnson shot and killed michael gray back in february. investigators said that shooting stemmed from a dispute at a house party. also tonight, a dramatic step from the naacp. it's issued a travel advisory urging african-americans all over the country to reconsider flying with american

>> the naacp says this is rooted in several recent incidents involving the treatment of black passengers. news4's jackie benson is live for us at reagan international tonight. this could have a big impact on americans' bottom line. >> reporter: jim, this is an unprecedented action. bad behavior. the advisory issued by the naacp, the nation's largest social justice advocacy organization, warns of what it calls a corporate culture of racial insensitive and possible racial bias on the part of american airlines. news4 spoke by phone to the naacp's hilary shelton. >> we have received a number of complaints about american airlines' treatment of african-americans on their flights. >> reporter: african-americans downgraded from seats they purchased to coach without explanation and difficulty

it means to them. news4, jackie benson. disturbing details tonight about an attempted rape in camp springs this weekend laid out in charge documents obtained by news4. the 81-year-old victim carrie edwards seen near naked in her garage on saturday morning. edwards reportedly started to chase the woman who locked the door of her home and called 911. edwards crawled through the kitchen window and began to choke her. when police got there, edwards took off with the victim's purse, keys and wallet. a few hours later he had a semiautomatic mipistol in his jacket. he was charged for assaulting another d.c. woman the month before. this sex

yesterday afternoon on a jogging trail in buoy. there is also a children's playground close by. shamari? >> reporter: yes, jim, that playground is about 40 yards from where i'm standing. parents tell me their kids like to play on the playground, but they're keeping them away before buoy police or prince georges county make an arrest in this case. this trail is very popular to this neighborhood. a lot of people like to come on it and exercise. >> they make me feel scared because this neighborhood is not like that. >> reporter: randy gardner never thought he would be doing an interview about a crime in his upscale college station neighborhood. >> i was more surprised than anything else, because when i came home i saw cops around and my daughter is home during the day. >> reporter: investigators tell us the woman was walking when the suspect came out of the bushes. she was able to fight back and he ran away.

released. we'll get to that in just a minute, but first here's a look at incident that got him arrested. >> treason! >> as you just saw there, 36-year-old ryan clayton threw russian flags at the president and senate majority leader mitch mcconnell. he yelled "trump is treason" and as he did that, clayton is attached to the group taking action. the biggest news is exactly where this happened, in the corridor outside the senate floor, a restricted space, perhaps one of the most secure spaces in all of d.c. you have to have a press credential or staff credential to get inside that area. clayton tells nbc that he did not have either of those. he entered through the rayburn building and walked in. asked why he did it today, he said he thinks the president

by early tomorrow morning, you'll notice those numbers. nothing on the radar right now. this is just ground clutter, not what you see as rain in here. you can see what i'm talking about, no rain in our area right now. that's the cold front that moved through. very heavy rain associated with this through parts of new england. it's been sitting there all day to our west. this is the cold air. you can see it wrapping around, even some lake effect snows up here toward the u.p. of michigan and toward the great lakes. for us the cold air will continue to wrap itself around here. it will be cool tomorrow and on the chilly side for sure on thursday. wednesday morning, cool at the bus stop, maybe a sweater. suburbs into the mid-40s. remember that if you live in places like loudoun county, a little cooler. 60 degrees by recess, 65 by the time kids are getting picked up at 4:00 in the afternoon. only 61 on thursday, and that puts most of the suburbs in the upper 50s, so a cool start.

friday morning i'm going for low temperatures in the 30s. i think we could have some frost again, maybe another frost advisory issued on friday morning. 70 on saturday. we're rebounding, right? but another front comes through. that front on sunday gives us a lot of rain potential, and that's good news. but we have a very big game in the day on sunday. the cowboys coming in and the game most likely ending early afternoon but we're hoping we can dry out during the game and continue on as we do. although our running game is better than our passing game. anyway, monday, 56. that's the really cool day but it's not the coolest day as far as the overnight temperatures. many of you monday morning and tuesday morning could see numbers close to freezing. we could see a freeze warning in some areas monday and tuesday. tuesday, of course, halloween. how about a halloween forecast for you?
