armed robbery suspects just about an hour ago. one suspect has been arrested and police have recovered a weapon. the second suspect is on the run. the shelter in place has been lifted. campus has been given the all clear. it is now 4:00. good morning, everybody. i'm chris lawrence. thank you for waking up early. we have to get to the forecast because as you get out the door today, whew, it's going to feel a bit different, huh, chuck in. >> it sure is. northwesterly winds joined us yesterday and now we get to have the cooling weather pattern continue through today, tonight, tomorrow and even friday morning could be quite a bit on the chilly side. the main area of low pressure still way back up here on to our north. 24 hours ago it has slowly and steadily made its way up the east coast. there's another little ripple here in the atmosphere. that will be a partly to

showing there might be a little drop or two. most of it is evaporating before it gets to the ground. nonetheless, a cloudy and schco start. in the mid 50s. temperatures will only barely get up above the 60 degree mark compared to the 73 yesterday. you'll notice the change. >> sure will. thank you, chuck. this could impact some of your holiday travel plans. the naacp has issued a travel advisory urging african-americans to reconsider flying american airlines. after a series of troubling incidents, the group says they're concerned about how black passengers are being treated. news 4 has more. >> reporter: bad behavior. the advisory issued by the naacp, the nation's largest social justice advocacy organization, warns of what it calls a corporate culture of racial insensitivity and possible racial bias on the part of american airlines. news 4 spoke by phone to the

>> we have received a number of complaints about american airlines treatment of african-americans on their flights. >> reporter: among the incidents cited african-americans downgraded from first class seats they purchased to coach without explanation and difficulties in being able to access wheelchairs and strollers to deboard planes. shelton describes the treatment of an naacp board member on a flight from ragan national to north carolina. >> two hecklers behind him recognized him and decided to mess with him, decided to actually give snide comments about him and even threaten him. when the airline associates came back to see what was going on they decided they would put him off the plane as well. >> american airlines has released the statement saying it is disappointed by the advisory and committed to providing a safe experience to all travelers. the statement goes on to say, we will invite representatives of the naacp to meet with our team

worth, texas. we are committed to having a meaningful dialogue about our airline and are ready to listen and to engage. >> reporter: we spoke to a number of african-american passengers, none of them wanted to speak on camera they said. they needed a little bit more time to think about what this means to them. jackie benson, news 4. developing this morning, he's been on the run for eight months but now a murder suspect is finally behind bars. jason alan johnson was picked up in new york and we're working to learn how police tracked him down. police say back in february johnson shot and killed a man named michael gray. investigators say it all got started from a dispute at a house party. there are new reports of another sexual assault in prince gorges county. this one happened monday afternoon on a jogging trail in buoy. news 4's shamari stone has more from a

nearby. >> it makes me feel scared. this neighborhood is not like that. >> reporter: randy gardner never thought he would be doing an interview about a crime in his up scale neighborhood. >> when i came home i saw the cops around and my daughter's home during the day. >> reporter: buoy police said a woman was sexually assaulted on this trail monday evening. investigators tell us the woman was walking when the suspect came out of the bushes. she was able to fight back and he ran away. >> unbelievable. >> reporter: this woman doesn't want to show her face on camera because police haven't caught the suspect. >> we've never seen anything like this. >> it makes me feel kind of uneased. my daughter normally sits out front during the day so of course i told her to stop doing that completely. >> reporter: the prince gorges county police department is helping the buoy police department with this investigation. detectives urge anyone with any information about this attempted sexual assault to call prince gorges

lunch is never going to be the same after the chaos in prince gorges county when a car crashed into a restaurant. it happened yesterday in upper marlboro. dozens of customers were eating lunch inside. ten people got hurt. seven had to be treated at a hospital. the good news is everyone is expected to be okay. the driver is named vernele robinson, she tells news 4 her brakes went out and she lost control of her car. coming up in the next hour we'll hear more from the driver on possible charges. the senate being equally divided, the vice president votes in the affirmative and the joint resolution is passed. >> vice president mike pence breaking a tie vote in the senate last night to kill a rule from the obama era. the rule allowed people to join together to sue their banks or credit card companies to resolve financial dies

democrats criticized the rule saying the rule gave people more leverage to stop companies from financial wrongdoing. it now goes to president trump's desk for his signature. of course he is expected to sign it. if you see some folks around d.c. with a bit of a lift this morning, there's good reason. those heels ain't for running. whew! >> about 150 people raced down 17th street with the big high heel run in dupont circle. to compete you had to come in drag and wear at least 1 inch heels. now it's sort of explaining why they only go a few blocks. mayor bowser was the grand marshal for the big parade. the winner got $100 gift certificate from lyft and a $50 bar tab. >> nice. >> the more interesting thing than the race itself is the history of how it got started. it's pretty cool. >> wonderful tradition. goes back many, many year

this morning hollywood is mourning the loss of another legend. robert dion died yesterday at his home in los angeles. he was best known for his role in "benson." it won guillaume two emmys. he won the award for best actor in a comedy series. he was the voice of rathinki in disney's "the lion king." he was 89 years old. basketball's latest social media sensation is going to take on the wizards tonight. it's not actually him, more like his dad. lakers point guard, lonzo ball. an early week twitter war began when his dad lavar gave a prediction about tonight's game, listen. >> washington coming in here, they better be wear. lonzo not losing in
