police say johnson shot and killed michael gray back in february. investigators say the shooting stemmed from a dispute at a house party. 4:33. learning disturbing new details about an attempted rape in camp springs this weekend. news 4 obtained the charging documents. police say the 81-year-old victim found suspect kari edwards naked in her garage saturday morning. edwards reportedly started to chase the woman who locked her door and climbed 911. he climbed through the window and began to choke her. when police arrived edwards took off with the victim's purse, keys, phone, and wallet. officers caught up with him a few hours later. he had a loaded semi-automatic pistmispistol pistol. he's now being held without bond. neighbors are on edge after a woman was attacked near a jogging trail in

this happened in the collington neighborhood. a man came out of the woods and sexually assaulted her. she was able to fight him of and she ran away. the trail is near the playground. if you know or saw anything, police want to hear from you. lunchtime chaos in prince gorges county after a car crashed right into a restaurant. look at the scene there. it happened yesterday at babes and boys tavern. dozens of customers were inside eating lunch. ten people were hurt. seven of them had to be treated at the hospital. everyone is expected to be okay. the driver spoke to news 4 about how she says it happened. >> my brakes were on. i was trying not to panic. that's how i ended up over that hump. >> still no word on any possible charges. keep an eye on the nbc

at the live desk. developments overseas. the secretary of state is in india now for some high level meetings. take a look, this is secretary of state rex tillerson. he has been meeting with india's prime minister and other officials trying to underscore the administration's belief that india is a critical anchor in a region in which the u.s. sees china as operating outside some of the global rules. rex tillerson arrived in india from pakistan after visiting five other countries in that region. we'll keep an eye on this travel. eun, back to you. >> chris, thank you. 4:45. the white house is using one word to describe senator jeff

against the president, petty. >> this comes after the arizona republican unleashed a scathing criticism of the president. >> reporter: it means it could be an uphill battle on things like tax reform. remember, in the senate they have the razor thin margin. we saw health care fail because of it. two senators disagree and all of a sudden things start to fall apart. now they're trying to get a really big thing done, tax reform done very quickly, possibly on the president's desk by thanksgiving. so with jeff flake and bob corker now at odds with the president, with people like john mccain and susan collins skeptical and sometimes not voting in lock step with the party, it raises questions about whether or not they're actually going to be able to get tax reform done. the president has said if they don't, republicans can lose big in next year's mid term election. >> for sure. tracie, let's turn to the rules

how will that affect people? >> reporter: breaking news overnight. 51-50. the president had to come in and break the tie. it's about the consumer financial protection agency. they are getting rid of a rule that allows consumers to ban together to sue their banks and credit cards. republicans, too, voted against this. republicans as a whole say it wasn't really protecting people. most of the money was going to lawyers and it was all about trial lawyers. democrats say with issues like equifax and breaches and wells fargo, that needs to stay in place so consumers have some sort of leverage when their files are compromised, but now it looks like that rumor is going away. it's on his way for a signature. consumers could not ban together and sue banks and credit card companies. >> tracie, thank you. the other big story was that
