former trump campaign chairman paul manafort with the caption, follow the money. the video was projected on the irs building by the same person who is projected anti-trump messages on the trump hotel in the past. if you thought yesterday was big in the russia investigation, today could be bigger. >> that's because paul manafort is expected to address his charges today. manafort and rick gates were indicted on 12 counts, including conspiracy against the u.s. and money laundering. both pleaded not guilty. the biggest news concerned george papadopolous. he admitted that during the campaign he was in touch with russians who had kremlin contacts. white house chief of staff john kelly addressed the news last night. >> all of the -- that they were indicted before was long before they ever met donald trump or had had any association with the

administration is let the legal justice system work. >> manafort's indictment never explicitly mentions the trump campaign but it accuses manafort and rick gates of misleading the government in the spring of 2016. a shooting on a college campus overnight. >> angie goff at the live desk. >> part of the university of utah on lockdown right now. one person confirmed dead. salt lake city police saying that a man shot someone near the university campus. they identified a suspect and are trying to catch him right now. the victim was in a car, we're told. that's pretty much all we know at this point. we did check the map. about half the campus is on lockdown. university of utah still deciding whether or not to cancel classes for the day. we'll keep you posted on this developing story. aaron. >> angie, thank you. 4:33 your time right now. o

investigation will play out on capitol hill today. executives from facebook, twitter and google will testify before a senate committee. facebook is expect today say that an estimated 126 million americans received russian backed material on the website during the campaign. they say it was likely difficult if not i am impossible for users to tell who was behind it. we're exactly one week away from virginia voters heading to the polls to pick a new governor. if you're planning to vote absentee, today is the last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you. the governor's race has been all over the place. ralph northam is leading gillespie 53 to 36% among likely voters. 7% say they haven't made up their minds yet. the poll has a margin of error of just over 4 percentage points. the polls have shown

results every time. independent auditors with maryland board of education are turning over a report. it stems from allegations that prince george's officials changed grades. a whistle blower who works for the system at a high school claims the school system changed the grades to boost graduation rates. the ceo mr. kevin maxwell denies the allegations. if you have to take i-95 to work, the ride is expected to get better on your commute home. the new two-mile express lane extension near the garrisonville exit opens this afternoon. it's expected to stop the backup that happens to tens of thousands of driver. the southbound ramp near 143 will open to traffic this afternoon. the northbound ramp will open tomorrow morning. won't have to pay more money than you already do to take the toll lanes. kirk cousins' future is probably not in san francisco. you may have heard the reports that the 49ers were thinking of signing him this off-season. but the 49ers traded for

shielded her from the bullets. more questions are being raised about a troubled hospital in d.c. >> the "washington post" reports that a patient died at united medical center after falling out of bed and pleading for help in an audio recording obtained by the "washington post," you can hear the man screaming. the interim ceo for united medical told the d.c. council that an investigation was completed. he said that employees were disciplined, did not go into specifics. this is a long list of problems reported at that problems. its license to deliver and care for babies was suspended and questions have been raised about the private company hired to manage the hospital. it will be up to the d.c. council about whether to renew the company's contract. the aftershocks of paul manafort's are arrest are

from him by now. he's pleaded guilty to the russian connections during the campaign and to lying initially to the fbi about those connections. reaction from the white house is that these indictments, not papadopolous specifically but the indictments have nothing to do with the president. that the money laundering and the tax evasion happened years before gates and manafort were working for the trump campaign. >> we'll hear from google, facebook, twitter. what will happen on that front today. >> that's about the ads that were tracked to russia that flooded swing states in the months before the election, presumably to try to influence people's votes. the campaign or i should say to many have said they will release those so people can see exactly what it was they were looking at that russia wanted them to see before they headed to the polls. >> tracie potts on the hill this morning. thank you. a federal judge in

likely to develop stomach cancer, colon cancer and other digestive cancers. of course, you should talk to your doctor first. there are a lot of products a lot of people consider to be healthy but in a surprising move, the food and drug administration wants to remove this health claim on hundreds of soy protein products which says the product can reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol. this decision by the fda is stunning. because 18 years ago it said the opposite. now cardiologists agree that studies since then no longer show any strong proof of those heart healthy claims. >> no one is saying that soy protein is unhealthy. we're just not -- we're saying you can't accept some special benefits from the soy
