the weekends. they wouldn't want to be anywhere else, up and at it early, and with some very important information that we're happy to bring you throughout this next half hour. first, let's begin with what everybody is talking about. that is that shift in the temperature that we have seen over the last couple days. >> lauryn ricketts, we saw sue began and emilia wearing a couple players. >> they were. emilia, i'm sure, called susan and was like, hey, it is going to be chilly tomorrow morning. true to the point. temperatures in the 40s and 50s right now. we're going to stay in the 50s. we have that cloud cover. you may have seen a few peeks of sunshine if you were out early this morning. again, mostly cloudy. we have a little bit of a breeze, as well. that'll continue to die down. our temperatures dip into the upper 40s. again, much cooler conditions. we've got some timing changes on that rainfall. yes, we're expecting some rain today. unsettled weather next week. we'll talk tall about it on the ten-day forecast. the timing coming up in 15 minutes. at 9:00,

district. six people forced from this apartment building on champlain in northwest. the flames broke out at 2:30 in the morning. last check, nocrew s had to work for some time to get the flames out. working to figure out what sparked that. a search underway for a highway computer in maryland. police telling us at least four cars were shot at along i-270 after 8:00 last night. you're looking at a shattered window. a viewer tweeting us the picture and saying her car was the fifth one hit. police have not confirmed that information yet. you are looking at video from our news 4 traffic camera from the scene. this happened near shady grove road in rockville in the northbound lane. you may have been one of the thousands of drivers stuck in the traffic nightmare on the

this was all because of a robbery that led police on a chase and it eventually left one of the suspects dead. we're getting a closer look at some new video from the robbery. news 4's darcy spencer showing us what happened. >> reporter: surveillance video shows the brazen robbery at this cash depot in wheaton. the armed and masked robbers jumped the counter and told some customers to stay down as they ransacked the store. this man was there when it happened. he's wearing the white shirt. >> they had guns. >> reporter: the robbers may have gotten away with even more, but a cashier refused to open a secure door in the check cashing area. >> they say, let's go, let's go, in spanish. she's calling the police. >> reporter: the robbers got away but not for long. >> got a

masked subjects, armed. we also got a description of a vehicle, a white chevy van. >> reporter: police spotted the van and chased the driver on to the beltway. the van crashed. one of the suspects bailed out. he was struck and killed by a montgomery county police officer driving an unmarked car. police arrested four suspects right on the interstate. this is just one of the guns they say they found in the van. police say these guys could be linked to two other hold-ups in wheaton last month. one at a gas station. the other, a food truck. police released these composite sketches of two of the robbers. to give you an idea of how frightening it was for employees, the woman working behind that counter had to be taken to the hospital friday evening. she says she wasn't feeling well. we're waiting for montgomery county police to identify the man who died and to identify the others facing charges in the robbery. in wheaton, darcy spencer, "news 4 today."

lawyer telling nbc news he expects charges. >> her story is of high interest because there are features from the legal perspective that make it a compelling criminal case. >> reporter: a senior sex crime prosecutor is assigned to this investigation but won't comment further. weinstein unequivocally denied any allegations of non-consensual sex. nbc news confirmed there are also investigations of weinstein underway in the los angeles area and london. also in london, metropolitan police investigating a 2008 sexual assault. media reports say that one surrounds actor kevin spacey. he hasn't been seen publicly since last week. nbc news spoke to someone who worked on the set of "house of cards" for two years. colleagues felt uncomfortable with spacey's behavior and complained to superiors. spacey routinely gave special attention to men, especially the lower level production assistants. adding, there weren't secrets about the behavior. the

capital heights. we're watching washington gas, who is helping a homeowner. >> susan, we saw you headed inside. >> i'm in here nice and warm, for sure. washington gas is going to 150 homes in our area. we are at one of them. what they're doing is winterizing and weatherizing these houses. what they're doing here for these families, we can do on our own. let's take a look at four things that we can do to keep ourselves warm throughout the winter. the first thing we do is put plastic on the windows to seal out the cold drafts coming through. also weather stripping around your doors and windows is another great thing to do. taping cracks in the windows.cr literally put waterproof tape there. aerators around your faucets lessens the amount of hot water that
