saturday morning while off duty. they were in a car when someone started firing. the woman he was with shot in the leg and was treated for the gunshot wound. mason died at the hospital a short time later and the investigation began immediately. he lives in baltimore about six miles from where this happened. and here in the district, he had been placed on no contact status, that is essentially desk duty pending an internal investigation. and that investigation and as well as this homicide investigation are continuing here and in baltimore, but so far investigators are puzzled as to what led to the death of a d.c. police officer off duty in baltimore. derrick ward, news 4. meanwhile a girl who was reportedly abducted and then found last month is once again missing. prince william

no, we will -- it's been hanging on a lot longer than i originally thought. so i had to lower temperatures which i don't like do often. but we will start to get a south wind that brings moisture off the atlantic and the rain malaysia night. but again we'll start to see the temperatures pull up. and guys, is that improving picture right there? we have some improving conditions out there right now. and you can see the ground at this point. so again, the fog is lifting. but it's taking so long. the mist will eventually dry out because we're also seeing that as well. now, clouds are sticking around. so don't expect this to be a beautiful sunday. it is going to be a cloudy day. we'll warm up today thanks to that south wind and warm up tomorrow, but then we'll drop and we had to add some rain through next week. visibility improving, especially in the shenandoah valley.

on to that fog right here. we will see it lift as we get into the lunch hour and then after the lunch hour, that's when the temperatures will scoot up into the 60s. so 60s forecast for the daytime high today. shenandoah value i wiley may be 50s. average temperature is low 60s. tomorrow we'll be in the low 70s despite some rain and some cloud cover. and then we drop back into the 50s on tuesday and wednesday. again, radar not picking up on that fog and mist, but certainly out there. you can tell from the picture. so widespread rain chances tomorrow and then tuesday, wednesday, thursday we're also going to have a drop in temperatures and also a chance for some rain showers. so if you are headed to brunch, temperatures in the 60s. no sitting out are side weather, but not too bad. we're headed to the mid-60s. again mainly clouds. so here is a look at your forecast hour by hour. we are looking at some rain chances especially for tomorrow. so today will be dry, but rain moving in from the northwest to the south and east tomorrow. again, some spotty heavy rain due to some temperatures in the low 70s, but it will be out of herby
