megan? >> reporter: well, this is a case where police really want witnesses to come forward so they can piece together exactly what happened and figure out just how many drivers are involved in this deadly pedestrian accident. now, it happened on busy columbia pike, which you see behind me near the intersection with hillwood drive. there's a lot of traffic in the area. investigators believe that this woman, this pedestrian may have been hit by more than one vehicle. now, one driver, the driver of a minivan stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. investigators believe it there may be another vehicle involved. that driver did not stop. so they are looking for witnesses with information about all of that. it was 6:30 last night when it happened. so it was dark. the woman was apparently trying to cross the street when she was struck and killed. this time of year, of course, it gets darker earlier. so pedestrians really need to take precautions. >>

responsible. the 17-year-old was shot just after classes let out at belew high school just after noon. the teen was in an argument with two men before the shooting. the men sped away in a dark-colored vehicle. d.c.'s mayor is calling on witnesses to come forward to help find the suspect. >> anyone who knows anything or thinks they heard anything should call the metropolitan police department so we can find out who did this and get them off the streets. >> police hope to get information from video taken from a d.c. metrobus as well in the area at the time of the shooting. president trump is in vietnam where he just wrapped up a veterans day event. he signed a proclamation saluting the veterans of the vietnam war. before that he spoke at a gathering of ceos on what appeared to be a rebuke of china on trade. he won't allow the u.s. to be taken advantage of or

we have breaking news about the most destructive fire in california's history. the power company says the fire may have been started by someone else's wires. last month's fire destroyed 5,000 to 6,000 buildings. we watched as the fire incinerated entire neighborhoods and forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes in wine country. now pacific gas and electric company filed legal documents saying it didn't own or install the electrical equipment that may have ignited that blaze. electrical damages sparked by the wildfire even if it followed the safety rules. the tubbs fire caused well over $3 billion in damage. at the live desk i'm chris lawrence. >> chris, thank you. the latest round of sexual misconduct allegations in hollywood enters the world of comedy now. one man died and another injured in a shooting on georgia avenue in northwest. d.c. police are now investigating possible gang connections to the shooting and several others in the area. expect to see more police patrols in certain areas as a result. three races are too close to call two days after election day. republicans lead in all three of those races and are likely to retain a 51-49 majority in richmond. jennifer carol foye is one of the first-time candidates and women voted into office in virginia. this morning she's celebrating more than her political victory. one of her babies is now home from the hospital. the twins were in the nicu for months after being born extremely premature at 23 weeks. they weighed 1.5 pounds each. days after the election she received the call. >> i received a phone call from the doctor and says i've got great news for you.
