as we continue through the week, we can clear out the rain in time for thanksgiving. especially if you're traveling. we have clear skies out there. beautiful view. but the clear skies aren't going to be here for long. we do have some clouds moving in on the way. even some portions of our area seeing a little rain right now. light showers out there on the storm team 4 radar. if you're not going to see showers today, because not everybody is going to see them today, overnight, we could have a little more rain, as well. winds are increasing gradually through the day today. it's going to be down right windy through much of the day tomorrow. we'll have gusts up to 40 miles an hour through the day tomorrow. temperatures out there right now, 47. most areas in the 40s. even down here in the shenandoah valley, front row, coming into the lower 50s at this point. also seeing some rain. again, this rain is going to stay north. if you're north of i-66 in virginia, north of route 50 in maryland, you are going to see some of these rain showers through midday. area of low pressure scoots to the north and east. then we'll start to see

overnight, passing through tomorrow morning. it'll bring more rain showers overnight. we'll get a break later on this evening. temperatures are going to be in the mid to upper 50s. again, it will be breezy through much of the day today. if you're running errands, go ahead and pack the small umbrella especially north of the district. again, you are gong to haing to temperatures on the warm side, mid to upper 50s. 9:00 a.m., seeing the showers roll through the area. light stuff. maryland going to be in the bull's eye for this. then we'll get a break midday. then looking at more rain overnight. that'll be out of here by daybreak tomorrow morning. we rapidly clear tomorrow. we'll have plenty of sunshine through your sunday. temperatures falling. 50s overnight. then we'll be in the 40s much of the day. it is going to be very windy out there. as far as your forecast over the next couple days, we are looking at windy conditions. breezy conditions on monday. right now, we have wednesday dry. thursday dry. we continue to watch a costal system. looks good for traveling right

early start here. we're at the rec center. you're looking at project give back. this started with six families more than 30 years ago and it's grown to what you see now. these people volunteer, collect money and buy these groceries so the folks who need them may eat. it is a cooperative effort with private organizations and the city to make sure thanksgiving and the whole holiday season is special for these folks. we spoke briefly with one of the founders. >> actually, started with six families in 1995, man. it started as an idea in the lunchroom. we were reflecting on how blessed we were. we said, man, we should do something for some families this thanksgiving, give them food or something. we passed the hat around and raised the money. we were shopping for the families. and amazingly, the next year, everybody started calling and saying, what are we doing this year? >> reporter: d
