travel weather a a few. chris? we're following breaking news in michigan where a massive fire continues to burn. a high pressure gas line exploded in a suburb of detroit. when there's a high pressure gas main leak, it causes a very loud roar. our sister station in detroit says the sound is deafening, up to a quarter of a mile away. a spokesperson says they shut down the line and they're letting the fire burn itself out. the good thing is so far, no one has been hurt in that fire. here at home, we're getting a unique view of the house fire in prince george's county. a firefighter captured these flames from his dashcam as he rolled up to the scene. chopper 4 captured firefighters minutes later as they doused some of the hotspots. monday's fire started in the chimney and spread to the garage. right now, one of the busiest holiday travel days of the year is just gettg

patience. aaa says today the tuesday before thanksgiving is when the roads are most congested. that's mainly because tonight regular commuters will be heading home around the same time that millions are heading out for the holidays. aaa says you should expect your drive to take double the amount of time you normally take. in fact, the worst of the traffic, likely going to start around 4:45 to 6:00. it will continue for several hours. incredibly busy. if you're driving tonight, expect backups about everywhere. >> i think you better count on all of the major roads. 495, 95, 270, all of those are going to be a mess. the ones that you normally have problems with during regular rush hour, assume it's going to be two to three times

it will be during your normal drive. >> in fact, one of the worst congestion spots in the country is here in our area. i-95 southbound near fredericksburg is the sixth busiest spot in the nation. an area of the bw parkway, not much better. of course, it's not just the -- some of the busiest in the country as well. when you compare the number of passengers and flights, reagan is expected to be the 25th busiest airport this week. dulles at 23rd busiest and bwi marshall, 22nd. bwi is making it a bit easier for you to fly and pick up your loved ones this thanksgiving. airport is offering free parking for the first hour in their hourly garages. it's also adding 50 spaces to the cell phone lot. the arrivals areas will be less congested. ride sharing vehicles. they'll have to pick up and drop off passengers on the departure

week. temperatures especially south of town into central virginia today, probably flirting with 60 degrees. a very pleasant day to be outside. right now, it's only 41 at national airport. there's that southerly wind. averaging 12 miles per hour. so it is shaving some temperatures -- couple of degrees off the temperatures. basically, when you see these numbers here, take about 5 degrees off. that will be your windchill. 42 in frederick. 42 in quantico. with that southerly wind, it will be a nice enough day today. temperatures will easily make it into the mid and upper 50s. south and west of the d.c. metro area, closer to 60 degrees. as far as travel weather, yes, indeed, look at that. quiet up and down the seaboard for the first of many get away days for today. there will be a little chance for rain coming our way. the timing of it is very, very helpful for travelers for sure. here's future
