job. >> lauryn ricketts even brought us name tags. that's not for you at home. that's for our own colleagues here. >> yeah, it's been fun this morning. and yeah, i've got to stay inside the studio, thanks to you guys, and didn't have to venture outside, because i was just refereeing this whole thing just to see what would happen. but we've got about 30 minutes left, so we have a little time to figure out what's going to happen with you two at anchor desk. but it's been a lot of fun right now, and a lot of fun if you're out and about because we've got no rain, no snow, and calm conditions. but you can see what looks like a cobweb on that camera. it's blowing in the wind on that right-hand side. it is windy out there. breezy to windy. we are at 51 degrees. we're going to be at 51 through the 10:00 hour. temperatures pretty much in the 40s and 50s for daytime highs today, but with plenty of sunshine. now, we do have some breezy conditions today, gusts up to about 30 miles an hour. those will calm after about 5:00. what does the rest of this workweek have in store as you make your way back to work after a holiday weekend? we've got the details ono

just a few minutes. >> all right, lauryn. thank you very much. now we turn our attention to a tragic story out of prince george's county. police there investigating a murder-suicide involving a mother and her son, an awful story. this is a look at where that chilling scene unfolded late last night in landover, right at the heart of the holiday season. news4's derrick ward is live there this morning with the newest details that we're learning. what do you know, derrick? >> reporter: well, good morning. this is the 1700 block of countrywood court in landover. we're pretty close to fedex field. those row houses, those townhouses that you see, actually, across the street from fedex field on your way down there, if you are indeed coming this way. now, this involved a family that lived in the house on the corner. you see the tan house with the red trim. that house has actually been vacant for the past month or so. residents around here say that the family that was there lived there for about 90 days and then moved out. well, last night at about 5:0

the wife's car, the wife of the family that lived here, showed up in this designated space. and then a short time later, the husband's car showed up here as well. now, neighbors thought that perhaps they were moving back in, but at some point, people saw the husband back at his car on his cell phone, and he seemed disturbed. and shortly after that, police showed up, and that's when they knew something terrible had indeed happened. now, police say that the mother, believed to be in her 30s, and the child, her son, from what we can glean from neighbors here, was perhaps as young as a toddler, were found dead inside that house. they were pronounced dead on the scene and only saying that they suffered trauma. and police say that this appears to be a murder-suicide, a domestic-related murder-suicide. that sent some shock waves through this neighborhood. folks here say that they didn't know the family very well. they would speak and they did notice the mother was often out with a young child and that the family recently had hadan

well, this is not the news that the wizards wanted to hear. they're not having a great stretch right now. they lost three of the last four games, and now they may have lost john wall for the next two weeks. the point guard is going to have to get multiple injections to reduce fluid that's built up in his knee. that inflammation all started when wall had knee-to-knee contact during the team's game against the mavericks earlier this month. now, if he recovers on time, he should be able to go december 9th, when the team goes up against the clippers in los angeles. well, from the hardwood to the gridiron, the redskins are off on this sunday. they already won on thanksgiving. >> yeah. >> but they're already gearing up for another big rivalry next week. >> they're taking on the dallas cowboys. >> ooh. >> that's going to happen thursday. you're going to be able to catch it all right here, the channel you're already watching, nbc 4. it's going to be the second time this season for these two teams to face off. hopefully, it will provide a chance for the redskins to maybe redeem themselves from their loss that happened back in october. >> that was a different cowboys team then. they had ezekiel elliott and everything was going well, and now --

all right, a gusty day out there. we've already accomplished step number one, so this is going to be a great forecast. [ laughter ] all right! temperatures are warming this week. yesterday we made it to 60 degrees. today we'll be in the 40s and low 50s, and then we'll continue to take that temperature up from there as we go through this week. lots of sunshine, though. next chance of rain is not until friday, which is good news, in case you are traveling out and about, not only today, but also tomorrow. temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. i'm going to give this range mid-40s to about mid-50s for daytime highs today. it is going to be breezy out there. we're going to have a northwest wind 10 to 20 miles an hour, slight windchill. temperatures pretty steady. winds will diminish
10:16 am
4:00 and continue to diminish into the evening, and then overnight, just clear and cold. a look at those wind gusts right now gusting up to about 30 miles an hour. that's going to be the name of the game as we continue into this day. but look at this. these temperatures, as i said, pretty steady, and the winds will come down as that sun goes down, just about 4:45. however, if you're decorating, especially if you're up on a ladder, just make sure that it's all secure, because we do have some blustery northwest winds, but plenty of sunshine. and football watching looking good, even though the redskins aren't playing today, but looking good for that. zoo lights, make sure you bundle up for that because it will be chilly once the sun goes down. temperatures will plummet with clear skies. and clear skies is what we're seeing out there right now. we've got a few mountain wave stratto cumulus clouds coming over the mountain, so beautiful view, but no rain. very small rain chances through this week. the next chance of rain will be on friday, but not today. 51 is about where we're going to top out. some areas into the mid-50s. we do have windch i
10:17 am
make sure you grab that warm coat and some sunglasses. temperatures tomorrow morning are going to be in the 30s to right around 40 degrees by 8:00 a.m., but plenty of sunshine and nothing to worry about, especially because we're not going to have that wind tomorrow. a much lighter wind as we go through the day tomorrow. i know it says breezy right there, but a lighter wind. plenty of sunshine through the day tomorrow. so you're going to be dealing with blustery and brisk conditions. today sunshine for your monday. look at this, tuesday and wednesday we're at 60 degrees. by thursday we dip a little bit as a dry frontal system comes through. and then by friday, that will be our next chance of some rain showers headed our way. next weekend even looks good. guys? >> thank you, lauryn. all right, back to work for congress after the thanksgiving break, and yet another high-profile lawmaker accused of sexual misconduct. >> yeah, and we have some new information coming in this morning about more in the russia allegations of hacking. joining us now to break it down, moderator of "meet the press" chuck todd. let's start with the new information from the "associated press." it basically sayh

interviewed 80-some people who might have been involved in this probe but only two were notified by the fbi? >> it's so funny. i actually know quite a few people who have been interviewed by "ap" during this process, just stumbling across my own sources going, hey, you know, "ap's" been asking, and they were stunned to find out, oh, yeah, apparently, they asked me if my g-mail -- they tried to hack me three or four times. it is amazing that "ap," the "associated press," has been the one to inform so many people. and again, i've talked to people that were talked to by the "ap" in the story, not the fbi, that they were informed by a reporter that russians were trying to hack their accounts. now, all of these folks were always in some way connected to the clinton world. >> okay. >> and that is the -- a fairly broad scope, but largely in the world of hillary clinton, either were part of the '08 campaign, may have worked for obama in the obama administration, but had a connection to clinton. it was very interesting. it was certainly systemic, and the "ap" i think did a very good

>> chuck, i know a big part of your show today will be focused on sexual misconduct. we've got this john conyers incident, allegations coming from staffers and talk of hush money? what do you make of this? >> look, i assume john conyers' days are numbered in congress. it will surprise some, leader pelosi, the house democratic leader, not ready to say yay or nay yet. that may come as a surprise to some, not ready to say whether he should remain on the judiciary committee. he is the ranking democrat on that committee, which means if they win back power, he technically would be the chair. you would think when you're talking about something like a sexual harassment claim, judiciary committee is the last thing you would want him on. i would assume he won't last the week, but you'll see on the show, this issue, rob portman is so uncomfortable saying that he wasn't supporting roy moore. nancy pelosi so uncomfortable having to criticize members of their own party and john conyers and al franken. and that's the problem here, right? the political world can't seem to

nature in dealing with these allegations the way our world has. >> right. >> the way hollywood has, which is zero, truly acting in a zero tolerance manner. the world of politics isn't there yet, you can tell. >> you know, i think what's funny about all this -- well, not funny, but more interesting, is that it means different things to different people, and it spans different generations, right? you have to look at this whole thing differently. >> look, i think that's where some people will criticize nancy pelosi for what she said 20 years ago. look, she's of one generation, and a generation of women who had to tolerate a lot of horrible messes in order to make it to where they got and had a sort of tougher exterior or whatever, maybe higher tolerance for this, than another generation of women who are going, why are you putting up with this? and i think you're seeing a little bit of that, too. >> chuck, lastly, shifting gears. i mean, you've had the opportunity to be paired up with adam and me. fair to say it's more comfortable when you're with me. i don't want -- >> wow, somebody's needy here. the neediness. >> you know.
