it happened at a home the family had moved out of. >> darkness had fallen over the house in landover. it's quiet here now. no sign of the tragedy that unfolded here late saturday night. a frantic call to 911 led to the awful discovery. police tell us the mom had taken the life of her little boy and then her own. the husband showing up banging on the door and police arrive for a welfare check. the bodies of the woman and her son were inside. police say they died from asphyxiation. >> neighbors tell us the family moved out weeks ago. this house was for rent. you can seat lockbox on the door. somehow, the mom got in. the couple had recently moved to glen burnie in anne arundel county. the couple were friendly, said hello and goodbye but kept to

themselves. sometimes the grandmother pushing the little boy in a a stroller. they wonder what happened. police are still trying to figure out the motive. in landover, darcy spencer, news 4. a similar tragedy touched a family in spotsylvania county. sheriff's investigators foubd a woman, her mother and father inside a home on waterford drive. they noticed the family dog running around and the door of the home was slightly open. megan scully and her mom mary and her father robert. everyone had been shot. investigators believe this was a murder-suicide. there's a bitter battle over who will run the consumer financial protection bureau. the woman named interim director of the agency is suing president trump. lee an dra english was elevated to the top spot by her boss. he stepped down on friday. the president tapped his budget

it could erupt at any moment. it's on mt. agung in indonesia. take a look. thousands are stranded at bali's airport that has been closed due to this volcanic ash. buses are being sent to the airport to help those who are stuck. mt. agung has been spewing ash since last week. the volcano is showing signs of a potential eruption. these are live pictures here. agung's last eruption was in 1963. she might be due. pope francis arrived in myanmar early this morning. many are waiting to see if the pope will recognize the row hinge a people during the trip. they've urged pope francis not to mention the ethnic group that's not a recognized minority. but they have been subject to what the united nations calls

that the victim did have his window down. at some point he got into an argument with the man standing outside by another car. the argue um here got heated. he fired into the witness's car in the windshield. striking the victim in his left eye. the man is from sterling. he's recovering from his wound. police are looking for tips about trying to track down the shooter. a man they describe as a hispanic male, last seen wearing a black polo and got away from the scene here in a black or dark-colored sedan. live in dupont circle. justin finch. d.c. police are also searching for the person who killed a young man on p street southwest saturday night. this happened a few blocks from that park. 18-year-old kyrie ledbetter was killed. another teenager was hurt as well. so far, no arrests. 4:30
