on friday, i was here talking about how you need to dress when you go out for black friday shopping. don't worry about it if you're doing cyber monday shopping. if you do have to leave the house and go back to work, if the kids are going to the bus stop or maybe doing traveling for the monday after thanksgiving. feels like 35 degrees. the temperature has now dropped to 39 in the district. we do have just about mostly clear skies out there. so we'll continue to get colder until sunrise. that will be the coolest point of the day. look at manassas. gaithersburg at 42. we have quite the temperature spread here. we had some clouds north of the district already this morning. clear skies to the south. that's why we have the spread. 34 degrees in clinton. this morning, when you wake up and walk outside, puffy coats between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. closer to 9:00, 10:00 this morning, we'll be near the mid 40s. a milder afternoon. we'll take a look at that coming up. as far as your commute is concerned, let's check the roads.

happened and who police are looking for. justin? >> reporter: eun, a scary scene out here. first an argument, then a gun and then a man shooting into a car. that's the story a man tells d.c. police that he was riding with his victim in his car going north on a 1300 block much connecticut northwest just after 3:00 a.m. on sunday. that the victim had his window rolled down and got into a dispute with an unknown man. that dispute did heat up and that man somehow reached out and got a gun and began shooting into the witness's car windshield striking the victim in this case. a man from sterling. in his face and left eye. he was taken to the hospital conscious and breathing. at this point, police are still looking for the suspect in this case. described only as a hoib man wearing a black

panel. >> alabama senate candidate roy moore is using president trump's tweets to make money. president trump tweeted that electing democrat doug jones would be a disaster. moore has denied sexual harassment and assault allegations from several women. the alabama special election is two weeks away. seven minutes after the hour right now. a warning as the first metro train gets moving. slowdown on the red line today and for the next two weeks. repairs are forcing fewer trains to be on the tracks. some stations won't have any rail service at all. news 4's transportation reporter adam tuss was live at the silver spring metro. this is going to cause big problems, adam. >> absolutely. anybody who is on the red line needs to pay attention here. no rail service between silver spring and fort totten. now, look the silver spring station, you can use it as jumping off points to other
