news from across the pond. >> we've been waiting. >> yes! get the countdown started. another royal wedding is on the way and this time an american will be joining the royal family. after months of speculation, we learned that prince harry has popped the question to his girlfriend meghan markle. let's get the latest now from nbc's kelly cobiella in london. >> reporter: well, after all of the speculation of the past couple of days will prince harry pop the question? when will it happen? how will it happen? turns out he already had. the palace announcing this morning that prince harry asked his girlfriend american actress meghan markle to marry him in london earlier this month. we don't have details beyond that other than the two will have a spring wedding some time next year. >> how are you guys feeling? >> thrilled. >> thrilled. >> meghan,

temperatures to come back, we have them for you already and the normal high is 53 degrees this time of the year. right now we're at 56. so expect us to be near 60 this afternoon and sunshine will help to warm things up throughout the day today. a good-looking forecast to start off the week. temperatures mid-50s now and expect the upper 50s to top out and we start dropping through the overnight hour, but not only today will be unseasonably mild and we're talking about low 60s later on this week and i would say mid to low 60s before we get chilly into the weekend. i'll show you that and the weekend forecast coming up in just a beat. >> thank you. it's a story we told you about before. allegations of sexual misconduct inside massage envy franchises. it's happening in d.c. and new allegations are popping up across the country. dozens of customers have accused massage therapists of sexual misconduct. this was a report cited in buzzfeed, lawsuits and

massagenry is accuse of mishandling or ignoring complaints of more than 180 cases. nbc news has not confirmed all of the allegations. the company said in a statement that even one incident is not acceptable. violence in the district. two separate shootings and one deadly broke out over the weekend. one person was killed and another person hurt on southwest saturday and one man was shot early yesterday morning in the heart of dupont circle and we start with that shooting in dupont circle. >> news 4's justin finch is live with what happened and who police are looking for right now. justin? >> reporter: hi there, eun, molette. dupont circle has a much more different vibe during the daytime than it does when all this happened. we're talking about the overnight hours of sunday morning when a man in a car and a man on a street got into such a heated argument that it ended with a bullet.

partner shows how for several hours sunday morning main roads leading immediately to dupont circle were shut down as d.c. police canvassed for leads and searched the area looking for a man who opened fire and fled. >> reporter: the witness tells police that the victim was a front passenger in his car and they were traveling northbound here after 1:00 a.m. on the 1300 block of connecticut avenue and he had the window rolled down. and along the way, the witness says that victim got into an argument with the man standing outside. the argument got heated and then that man got out a gun and shot once through the windshield striking that victim in the eye. >> the witness called 911 for help and medics got victim to the hospital. he was conscious and breathing at the time. >> and at this point we know that victim is a man from sterling, virginia. as for thatus

he is still out there. police have not caught up to him yet and he is described as a hispanic man wearing a white shirt and police believe he got away from this area in a black or dark-colored sedan. we're live in dupont circle. i'm justin finch. back to you. a husband is in mourning after his wife and 2-year-old son were found dead inside a home in landover. police believe the woman killed her son before taking her own life. police found the bodies of you song and joseph wang this weekend. the family moved out of a house in glen burnie and police are still trying to find out a motive. take a look at the repairs on the red line means fewer trains and fewer places to board. >> it's incredible. trains are not running between silver spring and fort totten

chopper 4 flew over a car carrier that overturned near college park. it happened on the ramp to i-95 northbound before 7:00 a.m. and then one of the cars fell over the embankment and burst into flames and started a brushfire. another one was stuck on the guardrail. the ramp was shut down for more than an hour and it caused delays for most of the morning commute. >> and lawmakers, they're getting back to business this week. >> among the things they'll be dealing with the allegations of sexual misconduct by lawmakers. >> and senator al franken will be more among those facing allegations. >> and the rush to get out of the way of the volcano that could erupt at any moment.

so they -- we pick it up from d.c. brow and we use it and what we do is we have a special promotion where we sell the 9-inch pizza crust. people pay an extra $2 for that crust during this month between thanksgiving and christmas. it's dollar 2 for the small pizza and $3 for the large and all of that extra money is donated to bread for the city at christmas time. that's such a great initiative to partner with d.c. brow. >> because you're recycling. >> we're repurposing something that is a waste, a byproduct of the brewing process. >> are there other things that would be better with this type of crust? >> it's nutty. it's earthy, so, i mean, the

christmas time is a gift. so here we are. this is it. this is it. so i'm enjoying it. >> i love christmas music, holiday music just puts you in the mood. >> you have kids, we have kids it sets everything off. what's your favorite part about the album, song or what have you? >> for me my favorite part of making the album is the album. writing a christmas song is another level. there's -- you're in this little, like, snow globe, you know what i'm saying? you have the freedom to just have fun. like, there's no judgment. there's no -- you can just have fun and i had a fun time making the record and writing the record. >> make shelton also participated in the special and he was part of the whole process. what was that like to work with him and what was your reaction to him being named this year's sexiest man alive by "people"

distracting now that he's the sexiest man alive. it's hard, but no, i think, honestly, he was really a big part of this ridiculous becauecs the one that told me to work with busby who is the songwriter and he pointed me in the right direction and i was, like, will i make a reggae? ska? >> the no doubt days? >> exactly. he was, like, you know, we have to make it like classic punk, like a phil specter and so once blake heard about that he got inspired and he's the one that sent me, you make it feel like christmas which was the beginning of this song. he sent me a voice text and he said i was thinking of this record and i kind of came up with this little part and i don't know if it's any good. and i thought dude, that sounds like a hit. it makes me so frustrated.
